“Just a physical game. Guess that’s what happens when someone’s scoring, throwing dimes, doing the whole thing. I’d get mad too.” During the post-game media duty, Tyler Herro, despite being slammed to the ground by Amen Thompson, clapped back with his words. After all, the Heat came out on top and the guard scored a game-high 27 points. In fact, he even escaped suspension from the league, which the Rockets faithful don’t agree with. And one of them is the former champion of the franchise, who is not letting this issue dial down just yet.
“I’m hearing rumors that the Rockets, in an effort to show Miami that there are no hard feelings are planning a MGK bobblehead night where random kids will be selected to toss the bobbleheads across the Toyota Center court in his honor,” Vernon Maxwell once again launched a scathing attack on Tyler Herro. The MGK reference is a shot at him since both have similar appearances. If you think it was the only time, then you really don’t know Mad Max.
In his previous fiery tweet, the 2x NBA Champion stated, “2 game suspension for Amen. 25k fine and no suspension for the instigator MGK. The league has never liked Houston and they must have a thing for skinny white kids that can’t rap.” The NBA issued a fine after the heated moment saw six ejections, which included Amen Thompson, Rockets coach Ime Udoka, and his assistant Ben Sullivan. Udoka received the highest penalty of $50,000 for verbal abuse of a game official.

Even Rockets guards Fred VanVleet, and Jalen Green got a $35,000 fine each. Meanwhile, Tyler Herro comparatively got a lesser penalty of $25,000. Ever since the game, the 59-year-old has made sure to support his former team and troll the Heat fanbase, especially Tyler Herro.

After being slammed by Amen Thompson, Tyler Herro gets roasted by Maxwell
Before the heated altercation, which saw both the benches on the hardwood, Herro and Thompson nagged at each other. The Rockets sophomore seemed to grab the jersey first, and the Heat guard did the same. But that led to the Houston guard performing a slam which started the whole chaos.
Seeing the fighting spirit Vernon Maxwell first tweeted he would not only cover Thompson’s current fine but any future fines for any of the Rockets players. Eventually, he took it back, but not before roasting the supposed MGK.

“Also after speaking with Coach Ime (and my financial advisor) we have decided it’s not the greatest idea for me to offer to pay all future fines for the team. I don’t want to send the wrong message. Instead for each Rockets win I will donate $100 to a self defense class for MGK.” In fact, he even questioned the Heat fanbase who were claiming that a win was bigger than the body slam.
“Hey Heat fans, 20 years from now do you think people will remember that Miami won a meaningless regular season game or that MGK got ragdolled across the floor? 😂.” Mad Max has promised the Houston fanbase that he would be courtside for the future games. Can’t wait for their next matchup in Houston.
