The NCAA Tournament isn’t complete with the CapitalOne Jamfest and the Chuck Blimp. Charles Barkley and CapitalOne have been a combination bringing the entertainment to March Madness for years. This year he even crooned along with Dionne Warwick in a hilarious commercial. It only made sense he followed the Chuck Blimp to the Phoenix festivities. While he’s supposed to be working at the TNT desk, he also popped up on stage during the music festival.

His newly-produced Instagram page shared an update of him on stage. The love for the Phoenix Suns legend is still palpable in the city and not only because he maintains a permanent residence in Arizona. Dressed for the weather in a grey shirt and shorts, he had the crowd pumped for the title games.

Tragically, Barkley’s cameraperson is as much a novice as the social media late bloomer. The video is filmed from the back while a band is setting up and his speech is unclear. Whatever he said, though, got a loud response from the crowd.

CapitalOne shared their own updates from the JamFest including the moment Chuck led the crowd during a performance. Sir Charles was in the midst of an incredible lineup featuring Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, and more at Hance Park in Phoenix. The Jonas Brothers, Zedd, and Remi Wolf performed on previous days too. The March Madness Music Festival ends with the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, April 7.

Sometimes he throws in his pick for the winners at this event. We’d have to wait for a more experienced cameraperson to provide better footage of his on-stage act. As much as he’s the loveable star of Phoenix, there’s something he can’t compete with during the Jamfest. And that’s a 128-foot version of himself.

One of the highlights of the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four isn’t only having Chuck for the studio coverage. It’s not even the hilarious commercial promoting the tournament. The highlight is the CapitalOne-sponsored Chuck Blimp that popped up at the Jamfest too.

It’s a hilarious homage to Barkley’s 2018 comment on TNT when he said he wanted to be featured on a blimp. Ernie dismissed his dreams by reminding him to look in the mirror. This is the result of how Sir Charles would look on a blimp. Featuring the Round Mound of Rebound from his NBA glory days hilariously plastered from bow to tail of a blimp, this spectacle is roughly the length of 20 Chucksters stacked head to toe. Fans have the most creative names from it ranging from ‘Soar Charles’ to ‘The Air Chuck One.’

After starting its journey in Memphis with the First Round of the tournament, the Chuck Blimp traveled to Dallas, and it concluded its month-long journey over the Hance Park in Phoenix during the Capital One JamFest.
