Matt Barnes is standing on business. After slamming the foul play Caitlin Clark is being subjected to, he doubled down. NBA players, past and present, who have jumped into the podcasting business called out Chennedy Carter for shoving Clark during the recent Indiana Fever vs Chicago Sky game. The game went on anyway but Barnes was disappointed in Clark’s teammates for not coming to her defense. Gina Paradiso, a media personality within the WNBA, made a snide comment at male podcasters like Barnes. He clapped back outrightly.

Humble yourself Gina. Don’t forget where you started. Nobody knew you b4 stak hired you & I got you a job at CAA.. You rep a couple big women in the W now & you think you doin something. #YouStillAintS**t,” he bluntly replied under Paradiso’s post. This came after Paradiso wrote, “Male podcasters and women’s basketball. I guess we’re here now.

Paradiso is a top basketball agent for female athletes. She managed Stephen Jackson, Barnes’ co-host on All the Smoke. She also helped Kendrick Perkins launch The Betting Academy podcast, which she co-hosted with him. Furthermore, she was previously a top talent executive at ESPN, where she built an impressive resume. One of them was launching Rachel Nichols’ show, The Jump.

Whether there’s some real animosity between Paradiso and Barnes is unclear. The acquaintances might also be comfortable with this level of discourse. Regardless, Barnes’ followers were a bit stunned at his dramatic response to her. It’s just how passionate he is about this matter.

Matt Barnes wants Caitlin Clark to be protected

Caitlin Clark arrived in the WNBA as the top draft pick and with a target on her back. She’s getting roughed up more noticeably and NBA players are reacting. While playing against the Sky, Carter pushed Clark to the floor during an inbound play and people had a lot to say. After Draymond Green and Chandler Parsons, even Matt Barnes responded.

Caitlin Clark says she got ‘cheap shot’ against the Sky. My issue and my question is where the f*** are her teammates at? Where are the rest of the Indiana Fever?” Barnes said. The notorious trash-talker wouldn’t hesitate to cause a brawl if someone fouled his teammates. He hoped that Fever would react the same for Clark and “protect the asset.” He even referred to the infamous moments he rushed to the defense of Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin.

While he might not necessarily be wrong, the response to Paradiso is not sitting well with most. Especially because she never named him. Most responding to him believe he needs to calm down and handle this a little better.
