Dwyane Wade is steadily building an empire in his name. The NBA veteran is one of the sharpest minds in the business and post-retirement he has been on a relentless pursuit to expand his business. However, what most people fail to realize is that he has been putting in the work for years to be able to manage his brand as a seasoned businessman.

Wade graduated college from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2003. The same year, he was drafted by the Miami Heat and went on to have a Hall of Fame career, hanging his boots up in 2019.

Recently, D-Wade was on CNBC where he talked about his special association with Harvard and the case study designed on his life as a businessman. He said, “One of the case studies was dealing with one of my…I was with Stance, the socks company. So, it was dealing with that partnership, did I do the right thing…what should I have done? I think it also covered maybe my shoe deal at the time as well. I signed a shoe deal with Li Ning, have my own brand. I think it dealt with that.”
