The soon-to-be Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade is one of the most celebrated and adored players to have ever graced the basketball court. After retiring in 2019, he began to explore his ability in business. With several business endeavors, he is at the height of success right now. Recently, he surprised the fans with his acquisition of the WNBA team, Chicago Sky. Furthermore, the 41-year-old added yet another cool title to his rich portfolio.
This year, Wade is all set to get inducted into the prestigious Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. However, that didn’t stop the 3x NBA champion from marking another milestone.

The 13x NBA All-Star has many names and titles and the latest one added to the list is probably the most unique. Flash has taken a big position to celebrate the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa, California. The title is cool too!
He is appointed as the first Director of Culture and Vibes for the wine and music festival set to be held from July 28-30. This is the second annual festival to honor the glorious 50-year anniversary of hip-hop.

Expressing his excitement about his new title, he said to Andscape, “Once it came out, I got so many people hitting [me up like], ‘Yo, that’s a fire title.’ Everybody loved the title, “We worked with the Blue Note team to find something that was cool, man. I had the opportunity last year, my wife and I, and friends of ours, to go experience Blue Note, and didn’t know what to expect. Obviously, I knew it was going to be curated music and things of that nature.”
Dwyane Wade’s $85 million worth business venture
After retiring in 2019, Dwyane Wade ventured into the world of business.

He has acquired minority stakes in Utah Jazz and MLS’ Real Salt Lake. Rumors of his interest in a WNBA tea began when he was spotted at Chicago Sky’s practice in Deerfield, Illinois. Soon, the player confirmed the news on his Twitter handle.
According to the reports, he acquired the stake at an $85 million valuation of the team. Wade’s current percentage stake in the team is unknown. The team has previously won the WNBA championship in 2021. How Wade’s role and contribution will help develop the team remains to be seen.
Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union were also present at the 2023 WNBA All-Star game to show their support for women’s basketball.
