“Tryna Get Me Fired”: Shaq’s Kim Kardashian Underwear Reveal Puts Charles Barkley in Awkward Spot

Now that SKIMS is the official partner of the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball, the TNT crew is repping it right. Charles Barkley may be coming for Shaquille O’Neal’s serial endorser title by staying in Kim Kardashian’s good graces. It was, however, Shaq who exposed Chuck’s intimate brand loyalty on Inside the NBA.

“Your boy had on Skims in the locker room,” Shaq oh so casually dropped on air. SKIMS is the league’s underwear sponsor and when the partnership was announced in October 2023, Kardashian sent a SKIMS goodie bag for each of the Inside Crew analysts.

They bemoaned that the $4 billion worth brand’s sizes look smaller than they’re used to. But apparently not to Chuck, who made Kenny “The Jet” Smith yell, “You got SKIMS on?” The exposure prompted Barkley to whine, “These dudes tryna get me fired man.” Not sure how being loyal to an official NBA partner could result in that but this was hilarious, nonetheless.

Barkley is not alone, though. Kenny admitted, “I got SKIMS on too.” He even tried to sell how comfortable her famous loungewear was. That must’ve given Chuck some kind of boost to say, “Kim, send some more please!” Ernie wanted the discussion to end there but that didn’t happen before Shaq hollered, “Kim send him more tighty-whities.”

The Chuckster and Kardashian combination has never failed to make viral history. That’s not only a reference to Shaq digitally altering Chuck onto the reality star’s 2014 ‘Break the Internet’ pictorial. But O’Neal, once again exposing his frenemy, has a whole other perspective.

Back when the league’s partnership with SKIMS was announced, Barkley’s immediate response was, “It won’t have an effect upon me because y’all know I burned all my drawers a few years ago.” Barkley has repeated several times before that he’s been underwear-less after he retired from the NBA.

That’s why when Kardashian sent presents from her size-inclusive brand, the big men at TNT were not very receptive. 7’1″ O’Neal graciously passed the box to his co-hosts, declaring they weren’t his size. Barkley also reiterated the average XXL SKIMS product was still too small for him after one piece of shapewear made him go, “What the hell!”

Their unintended roast of the brand led to the Internet being flooded with every crying Kim Kardashian meme. But if Shaq is telling the truth, Miss Kardashian has managed to bring Barkley on the underwear bandwagon.
