The road has officially come to an end for Michael Jordan. After deciding to step down as a majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, his sale was finally approved by the league. The owners around the NBA carved the way for the $3 billion transaction. It was seemingly unanimous, well except for a single owner. Being the lone one to vote against the Hornets’ sale, he caught heat from the NBA fans.
The Jordan lovers called out the billionaire owner. They even claim he has always been somewhat ‘toxic’.

Adrian Wojnarowski broke the official news. A group led by Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin will pave the way for Michael Jordan’s 13-year reign to come to an end. They purchased the team for an approximate value of $3 billion. The six-time MVP made a hefty profit after buying the franchise for $275 million back in 2010. However, he will continue to sustain a minority stake.
The NBA’S Board of Governors signed off on the transfer, giving the green light to MJ. The voting ended at 29-1. The lone shark was New York Knicks owner, James Dolan. He voted against the sale, but his standing alone didn’t have any impact.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Dolan has acted out of the ordinary. The Knicks owner waged wars against law firms after installing facial recognition at Madison Square Garden. Additionally, he has also been ruthless toward the fans. In fact, he even banned a fan from attending games at the Mecca for questioning his capabilities as an owner.
“Enjoy watching the games on TV,” he yelled to the fan, according to Vanity Fair.
Unsurprisingly, Knicks legend and a good friend to Michael Jordan, Charles Oakley had an ugly dispute with Dolan. The former Knicks and Bulls forward filed a lawsuit against the billionaire for reportedly barring him from the arena to embarrass him. James Dolan denied the claims.
Fans dismantle Dolan for standing against MJ
Whether it was Jordan torching the Knicks as a player or a long feud that had him stand against the sale is yet unknown. However, after finding out about Dolan’s attempt to obstruct the ‘ sale, NBA fans weren’t pleased whatsoever.
They turned on the Knicks owner and made it seem as if he has always been “toxic”.

During Dolan’s 24-year-long ownership stint, fans have clearly gotten creative at bashing him!
Well, well, well… Dolan's at it again! Going against the grain like a porcupine on a unicycle. No surprise there.
