While the Boston Celtics veteran assured his fans that he was doing fine, the pictures didn’t look good at all. He had a couple of broken fingers covered in blood and showed him in a hospital gown. Along with it, he shared an update that he would require surgery immediately. The caption of his Instagram update read, “I’m good by the way just broke a couple fingers gonna have surgery on one.”
One of the close-up snaps showed the other side of his phalange split wide open. Some fans took to social media, advising fellow Instagram users not to check out Pierce’s Instagram Story and wrote, “Don’t check Paul Pierce ig story omg it’s a f**ked up finger.” Recently, the Boston Celtics legend made headlines for his mistake on live TV.

Just recently, the 46-year-old made a mistake during the broadcast on Fox Sports. After getting fired from his previous broadcasting job at ESPN, the NBA champ once again made a similar mistake, which could have landed him in more trouble.
Maybe he was too immersed in his work that he forgot about the live broadcast and used a racial slur on a segment of Undisputed. It was during a discussion on the Indiana Pacers’ 121-89 Game 4 win against the New York Knicks when Pierce’s mistake garnered fans’ attention.

Despite the dropping viewer rates of Fox Sports after the incident, luckily and to fans’ relief, there haven’t been any updates on firing Pierce. Former NBA players often struggle to establish themselves after retirement.
However, Pierce just squandered valuable opportunities that numerous would envy. It seems The Truth could really use some lessons on what is and isn’t appropriate for TV. His latest post is truly a breath of relief after sending fans and netizens into a panic. Hopefully, the NBA legend recovers quickly.
