LeBron James in one of the greatest athletes to have ever played in the NBA. Drafted in 2003, the kid from Akron has become a man in front of our very eyes as he enters the twilight of his career. While he was a part of a trio during his time in South Florida, the 19x All-Star has almost always been a one-man army. Leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to 5 Final appearances, King James became the definition of ‘clutch’ as he single-handedly delivered a title to his beloved city.

Another star who has similarly carried multiple teams to an NBA final is Phoenix star, Kevin Durant. The 2x NBA champion was a part of the legendary Warriors, but has always been the sole leader otherwise. Leading the Thunder to an NBA Finals appearance against James’ Heat in 2012, Durant has been a clutch player all his career. While the two have shared the biggest stage on multiple occasions, former Celtics legends seem to be tired of the duo. Sending a rallying cry to Austin Reaves and more, the Boston pair think it’s time for the two giants to take a breather.

During a recent episode of ‘KG Certified’ Celtics legends, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce spoke about KD and LeBron and why they needed a breather. Believing that the two had been carrying their teams for too long, KG went on to explain, “LeBron and KD it’s time for them to be spot up bro.”

Continuing his point, Garnett explained that the duo has not been “given the ball for ages” as they are always the ones making the plays. Revealing that he was “tired” of seeing them do all the work, the 2008 NBA champion stated, “Can they go in a corner, and now someone make a play for them to make a free shot?

Elaborating his views further, KG also took an example of KD and the Nets as he noted how the 13x All-Star “put them on his back.” Tired of watching KD and James do all the work, the legend then sent out a rallying cry, as he asked Austin Reaves and more to show their support for their teammates.

Legend sends rallying cry to Anthony Davis and more amidst LeBron and KD comments

Having publicly scrutinized the way LeBron and KD were continuing to carry their teams, KG sent out a rallying cry to the younger guns. Not appreciative of the little help that the two greats had, Garnett believed that it was time for others to make the pair look good. Taking LeBron as an example the 2004 MVP stated, “Anthony Davis make LeBron better, get him some easy s*it.

The forward then went on to explain that the young players were too reliant on the older generation and that they provided very little to zero help. Continuing to speak his mind, the legend stated, “Man he don’t get nothing easy, KD same sh*t.
