“Time To Rock”: Shaquille O’Neal Drops “Gorilla Warfare” After Ethic Truth Leaving Fans Excited

Basketball fans have known him as the one who marked his presence on the hardwood whenever he made an appearance. They know him as the player who led his teams to four NBA championship wins and became a three-time NBA Finals MVP in the process. More recently, fans have come to know Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal as an aspiring musician.

With his new album set to drop within the next few hours, Shaq provided an update on social media, leaving his fans in a frenzy.

Shaquille O’Neal, in collaboration with almost 10 people from the bass music industry, is set to release his debut electronic album titled ‘Gorilla Warfare’. Taking to his Instagram account a few hours, DJ Diesel shared a video with his 805000 followers. It featured some of Shaq’s best accomplishments during his 51 years on earth. Aside from everything that he achieved on the basketball court, the video highlighted Shaq’s platinum record albums and the time he was appointed a ‘sheriff’.

All of it brought him to the question that people keep asking him: Why does Shaquille O’Neal make music?

“It’s not because I have to, or even want to,” Shaq explained. He added, “It’s because I need to. It’s in my DNA,” during a segment of the video.

The former player described his presence in the “dubstep game”, stating that he is on the journey to “win it all”.  Big Diesel introduced ‘Gorilla Warfare’ to his fans and shared the highly anticipated release date: midnight EST on the 18 of August. Shaq’s clip ended with the former player exclaiming “The dubstep dad is here.”

One of the songs featured in the album is ‘Romany Adventures’. Featuring a collaboration between the former player and musician Soltan, the song was created by taking inspiration from Romany music culture. The history of the Romanies was explained in an Instagram post shared by Soltan and Shaq.

Fans share their reaction to the album update

Shaq’s post has generated a significant amount of interest from around the spectrum. Many of his fans and music enthusiasts took to the comments section.

Most of the people couldn’t hold back their excitement, leaving behind their reactions in all caps. The remarks they left included “TIME TO ROCK”, “THIS IS IT!!!!”, “ITS BOUT THAT TIME”, “THE DUBSTEP DAD IS HERE.” etc.

Music artist Bok Nero used an interesting take to highlight his excitement. He wrote, “We are all Npcs in shaqs world”.
