La La Anthony just revealed her GOAT basketball player. No, it’s not her ex-husband Carmelo Anthony. The TV personality and actress recently sat with her  son Kiyan Anthony for ‘GOAT Talk With Complex’. During the question/ answer segment of the show, the mother-son duo had to answer some intriguing questions presented to them.

One of the questions posed to the duo was about who is the GOAT basketball according to them. To which, the proud mother didn’t hesitate. She quickly replied that her son, Kiyan is the best and greatest basketball player for her. Surprised and flattered by his mother’s confident response, Kiyan Anthony couldn’t help but ask what inspired her to name him in place of so many other great basketball players including his father, the New York Knicks legend.

In response, the 41-year-old detailed the difficulty and hardships, she had to face during her pregnancy. La La Anthony shared, “Cuz nine months of my life I threw up every single day, nine times a day, laid on a cold bathroom floor cuz I had the worst and most difficult pregnancy ever.”

The mother of 1 further added, “That is why seeing you now on the court and being so amazing you make your mom so proud and you are my goat basketball player.”

La La and Carmelo Anthony welcomed their son Kiyan in 2007 and tied the knot in 2010. Unfortunately, the two separated in 2021. Thankfully, the split didn’t mangle the respect the duo share as co-parents. When the teenager snubbed his father from his GOAT basketball players list, La La didn’t hesitate to argue with her favorite person.

Carmelo Anthony isn’t the GOAT basketball player for his family!

While it’s understandable for La La Anthony to choose her son over any other basketball player, she couldn’t stomach her son’s opinion. Soon after Lady Anthony’s touching answer, Kiyan Anthony shocked his mother and the viewers as he answered Paul George to be his GOAT player. 

Well known as PG13, the 9x NBA All-Star currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, Melo couldn’t even make up to the second spot in his son’s GOAT list. Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant snatched the coveted second place. Finally, the Denver Nuggets legend was placed in the third position by his own son. La La Anthony was also stunned by her son’s response. “The fact that you didn’t say your dad first is crazy to me,” she argued.
