$396 Million Poorer Than Shaquille O’Neal, LaVar Ball Tears Down 7’1 Giant’s $400 Million Business Empire: “When You Leave This Earth…”

LaVar Ball doesn’t take slight very well. He’s got a lot of bitter feelings about certain TNT personalities talking smack about him. In true Big Baller fashion, he’s talking smack right back. While on VladTV, the patriarch of the Ball family had choice words for Shaquille O’Neal. It’s apparent he’s not holding a grudge for six years. LaVar just believes he’s a better businessman than Shaq.

The dislike is probably mutual, as Big Diesel has never held back his thoughts about LaVar’s empire either. This time the dad of three NBA pros took a ‘super’ jab at Shaq where it hurts the most.

LaVar Ball comes after Shaquille O’Neal and his empire

The Big Baller Brand has its fair share of controversies along with the mastermind of the empire, LaVar Ball. But if there’s one thing he’s proud of, it’s building a brand from scratch. He believes none of his critics can boast that, not even Shaquille O’Neal. Now Shaq has taken his NBA fortune and built a multi-faceted career in entertainment, music, franchising, and other fields. He has a $400 million net worth, a hundred times more than Ball’s net worth.

Regardless, LaVar Ball puts all $4 million where that mouth is.

Ball contends that Shaq doesn’t own anything of his multiple businesses. “And you know when you going to find out when you ain’t the owner, when you leave this earth and it don’t go to your family you going to be really mad.” 

While on ‘VladTV,’ he namedropped all of the brands that have become synonymous with Shaq. According to LaVar, “[O’Neal] still an employee.” In the same breath, he went for Shaq’s sensitive nerve. “You don’t have a brand. Because the last time I checked Superman was a white dude with a cape.”

A diehard fan of the Man of Steel, Shaq made it his entire personality. He has the famous logo inked on himself, boasts rare merch of the DC hero, and has the logo on his customized luxury cars too. He doesn’t take too kindly to getting called out on his love for Superman.

Yet LaVar Ball went there. All because he’s holding a grudge on Shaq for something that happened way back in 2017.

Shaq’s diss track still triggers Big Baller Dad

In 2017, athlete-rapper Big Diesel dropped the “LaVar Ball Diss Track” and kickstarted a war.

He’d take jabs at LaVar Ball and the Big Baller Brand every chance he gets, from his eccentric personality to the price of his shoes. Telling ‘VladTV’ about all of Shaq’s offenses against him, LaVar said, “Shaq’s kids will say hi to me, but I won’t say nothing to Shaq.” 

Though he won’t talk to the Lakers legend, he did talk about him. Bringing Shaq’s involvement in the Papa John’s board of directors, Ball said Shaq only “partners up” and doesn’t own a brand of his own. A little untrue because at least Big Chicken was started from scratch with Shaq’s mom’s recipes.
