This 7 Ft, 300 LB College Star Has More Offers Than Bronny James. Why Is Peyton Marshall Attracting Top Programmes?

Being LeBron James‘ son might have helped Bronny James secure one of the highest NIL valuations in the NCAA. But arrives on the scene, an 18-year-old Georgian and four-star center, Peyton Marshall whose physical presence is hard to ignore. And so is his towering demand! Although he doesn’t have a lucrative NIL valuation like Bronny yet, looking at the offers he has attracted till now, he is definitely one to watch out for.

Young guard Bronny attracted colleges like Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan, and others to approach him. But Marshall known for his tremendous touch around the rim, attracted more offers, some of which were from Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Georgetown, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, Missouri, NC State, Providence, Xavier, and others. 

The Marrieta native ultimately joined the University of Missouri and Bronny James selected the University of Southern California.

Ranked as the No. 56 overall player in the 2024 class by 247Sports, the 18-year-old big hooper is the No. 9 center nationally and the No. 6 player in Georgia. The 6-foot-3 guard, Bronny James is now the No. 26 player in 247Sports’ final rankings update for the class of 2023. James was also ranked as the No. 19 prospect in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2023 and earned McDonald’s All-American honors this season.

As the basketball scene is witnessing a new generation of formidable players, Marshall is the one to watch out for. The teenaged center has even been compared to the likes of Nikola Jokic. Speaking of the star player’s new journey, Marshall’s high school coach appreciated him.

Peyton Marshall was the cornerstone of the program

Hailing from Kell High School, Marshall led the Longhorns to their first state title. Kell High School head coach Jermaine Sellers shared,  “Mizzou Nation is getting a high-character player that comes from winning. Peyton is a dominant force that plays the game the right way. He makes everyone better. He sees the floor, is vocal and sacrifices for the betterment of the team. Peyton was the cornerstone of the Kell program and led us to the 5A State Championship.”

Marshall was the first signee of Mizzou’s second-ranked class in the nation – the highest-ranked class in school history. Coach Jermaine added, “Peyton will be bringing that same pedigree to THE University of Missouri! I know the Missouri staff will continue with its track record of developing bigs and make Peyton a more dominant force on both ends of the floor. Go Tigers!”
