Imagine Superman, Batman, and Hulk on the same team. In a literal sense, that’s just destruction based on strategy. In the basketball world, it is Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Shaquille O’Neal on the same team, though destruction is still most likely to happen. At least stand-up comedian Aries Spears agrees with this chain of thought.
Appearing on an episode of VLAD TV, Spears recollected Shaq mentioning on his podcast that had he known teaming up was cool, he would have joined forces with Mike and Pippen. Spear painted a picture of what could have happened had Shaq joined the Chicago Bulls. “Imagine that. Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan and Shaq… And Dennis Rodman. They’re going 82-0,” Aries stated.
This came after the 48-year-old comedian lashed out at this generation of fans for thinking that modern-day basketball players can outperform NBA veterans in the present scenario. He called the claims of this generation of players being bigger, stronger, and faster a bit overrated. “Bigger, stronger, and faster, but team up like The Avengers and make super teams,” Aries stated.

He also recollected Michael Jordan once, saying he would never team up with Magic Johnson. As per Spears’ statement on the show, Mike considered Magic to be his barometer in terms of how great he was, and if he could compete against another great player and dominate. It was after this that the Shaq, Mike, and Scottie trio came into discussion.
What happens if Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Shaquille O’Neal are on one roster?

It is worth mentioning that multiple NBA stars have named Jordan as their GOAT. And 6x NBA championships, 6x NBA Finals MVP, and 6-0 NBA finals record are supporting pieces of evidence of this claim. Also, Mike had an impressive career stat line of averaging 30.1 points per game, 5.3 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per game. However, the most impressive feat by Jordan was the 6-0 NBA finals record. Even more impressive was the fact that in all the 6 finals Jordan played, he never had to play the Game 7. This shows his domination in his era.
While Mike was an offensive force, Pippen earned a name for his defensive abilities. In fact, Scottie even made it to the NBA All-Defensive Team for ten consecutive years. Notably, he also lead the number of steals during the 1994-95 season, with 234 steals to his name. He was among the key forces along with Michael Jordan behind the Bulls’ two three-peat victories.
Now if you put Shaq on the roster along with these two, then you have another player on the lineup who led his team to a 3-peat NBA championship. In fact, Shaq is the only player after Michael who has become NBA finals MVP three times in a row. So, based on stats, achievements, and accolades, this line-up does seem to be overkill.
