Larsa reveals her unsavory times as Scottie Pippen’s wife

The discussion began when Marcus brought up Larsa’s comments from the previous episode. In it, she had spoken about her interactions with other NBA wives. Here, Jordan asked her to further explain her perspective on the NBA culture.

Larsa, at her uninhibited best, was candid about her experiences, and minced no words. “I feel like the NBA culture is very competitive. You’re surrounded by competitive guys…That comes with competitive wives. Most guys that are competitive, want to be with a woman that’s competitive…When I think about most athletes that I know and their wives, they choose women that are competitive as well.”

Marcus pitched in with his two cents, pointing out how important a partner with strong aspirations is for a person. Further, he praised the NBA culture for cultivating strong relationships, with partners who embody that spirit. However, Larsa explained how her time around NBA wives wasn’t the most ideal. “There were times…I didn’t like the wives as much…It became like a competition.”?

Going on, she highlighted a particular incident during Scottie’s days as a Portland Trail Blazers player. “I remember I spent a lot of money making this coat, and like I would make my own jewelry…One of the wives literally had the same exact quotes made, and the same exact jewelry…Maybe just do it a little bit different?”
