Does Dwight Howard have an issue with his son? Royce Reed has dropped another bombshell this week with yet another revelation, and this time, it was about Howard’s appearance on the celebrity competition show Dancing with the Stars. Royce claimed that her son, Braylon Howard, wasn’t interested in appearing on the show with his dad. However, one reason changed his mind.

In a conversation with Cam Newton on Funky Friday, the former dancer revealed the tension between her son and his dad. While she supported her son’s intentions, she clarified that she wasn’t fond of how her son presented them. Moreover, she revealed that she was the one who convinced Braylon to go to DWTS. She wanted him to have the experience.

“Braylon had cussed his a– out. I did say that’s still you daddy like watch your mouth but his point was still valid. But why are you even having this conversation with him like this? I am the one who told Braylon to go to Dancing with the Stars cuz he didn’t want to go,” Reed said.

Later, she revealed that Braylon did enjoy going to DWTS as his siblings were present. Royce has several times hinted at the tension between Howard and the 17-year-old. It’s unknown whether there is any truth to the claims, but Braylon seemingly has a great relationship with his siblings.

“He was mad because I pushed him to go on Dancing with Stars. I said no go for the experience…I’m like….go for the experience, not for him and he had a good time because he spent it with his siblings,” Reed added.

However, he wasn’t present on the Thailand trip that Howard went on with his fiancée and two daughters, Layla and Jayde. This is understandable, considering the feuding between Reed and Howard with the recent accusations. Howard, in his latest interview, also had a suggestion for his son.

Dwight Howard’s one request for his baby mother and son

In his latest interview on The Gauds Show, Howard didn’t mention any names. However, he had a suggestion for his son and his ex-girlfriend. He reminded that their son would inherit the talents of both parents and would likely excel in either dance or sports. He advised that the mother should focus on developing their son’s skills so he could grow up to support her.

“We don’t have to be together but okay we have our son. He could act he got a portion of your spirit and mine which means he could probably sing act dance play sports do whatever he want to do and he’s smart,” Howard said.

“You know what’s going to happen when you do that it’s going to in turn take care of you…doing this for our child it’s going to make you better,” the former Los Angeles Lakers player explained.

He also mentioned that he doesn’t wish to fight with his baby mamas. Again, he didn’t mention names, but it seemed he was referring to his ex-girlfriends, Reed and Tiffany Render. Both Render and Reed were seen having a heart-to-heart conversation in a trailer of Ladies of Orange County which is yet to be released.
