The raging wildfires in southern California have cast a shadow over some of the NBA community’s most prized properties. One such name is Blake Griffin, who could possibly be facing a grave threat to his investments in Brentwood.

Griffin owns two homes in the area—an elegant 1930s traditional-style house purchased in 2020 for $5.87 million and a sleek modern farmhouse acquired for $19.1 million. Nestled right behind one another, their proximity puts both properties squarely in the path of the advancing flames.

His $4.6 million modern farmhouse in Santa Monica, near the Crossroads School that launched his basketball career, lies in a high-alert zone as the Palisades Fire inches closer. City leaders have declared a state of emergency, considering curfews in evacuation areas to bolster firefighting efforts.

As the wildfires rage on, the battle to protect lives and landmarks continues with urgency.
