The Phoenix Suns, placed 11th seed, are in the worst of their phases since the 2020 season, and the clouds over them have let everyone have a say in their affairs. In a competitive environment where everyone is under scrutiny, the Suns are no exception to accountability. What worsens their situation is that the team has a tough schedule ahead of them as per Tankathon. With a loss of 3 games in a row, the attention has now gone past fan reactions to experts. And guess what Charles Barkley has to say on this? Is he furious or still believes in the team?

The team is currently 27-32 and has lost seven of its last eight matchups, and the Suns’ base is disappointed over its poor run, and rightly so. If this is not the time to wake up for men, then when? The team’s difficult path this year has even left the veteran analyst, Charles Barkley disappointed. Sir Charles went off at his TNT crew as he came face to face with a scary reality. He is upset over the team struggling with defense and inconsistent performance. But what did he say?

In the latest segment of Inside the NBA, the veteran analysts discussed the NBA teams and their standings. The TNT crew noted how the teams between the 6th and 10th positions are likely to maintain their position. But there was ‘Chuck’ who got distracted. But why? He saw the Suns in the 11th position, which is out of the range of contention as they discussed earlier. Unable to hold his pain, the former Suns said, “Don’t Throw my Suns in there. That’s just now you’re just pissing me off.” He further added, “Stop right there. The Suns are 11 and there’s nothing going to happen after that. While Chuck wants to avoid the picture, unfortunately, that is the reality. And it is not just Barkley but this player too had something to say on the teams’ poor performance.

Forget the playoffs, the Suns had a chance to secure a spot in the play-in tournament too. All they needed was to reach at least the 10th seed! The team had a chance in the matchup against the Pelicans, but they lost. Speaking on the pathetic run, the guard Devin Booker too lashed out at the team for the lack of communication. Booker added, “You know it could be fixed with just a little bit of talking, I say um, things get tough, we get we get quiet as a team, and you know from my experience and what I have seen, this is not the way to get through it.” Devin Booker added 36 points, however, the efforts weren’t enough to lift the team. Just last month, Barkley had some tough words for the team.

Charles Barkley called out Phoenix Suns’

The Suns had kicked off the season with great energy, but injuries quickly derailed the team. And being the person he is, Chuck has always been critical of Durant. Speaking of the team on NBA on TNT, he said, “I root for the Sixers and the Suns. I have zero faith in the Suns and the Sixers. That hurts me to my hurt to say that.” The Philadelphia 76ers legend further added, “I watched the Suns play for the last week. They stink.” Brutal, but probably he has his justification for it.

But did the comment affect the team? Probably not. Regardless of the situation, the Suns’ star Kevin Durant has faith in the team. Before the Suns’ loss to the Pelicans, Durant added that he was confident of the Suns’ comeback. Most definitely. I feel like everybody wants to win. I feel like everybody’s pissed off. When you see bad body language, that means people care,” the veteran player said. There were initially some rumors that the Suns would acquire Jimmy Butler. Who knows, he could have unlocked the Pelicans’ future like he is doing with the Warriors.

However, the deal didn’t happen likely due to the financial limitations. “We have to still keep that energy around, communicate more, you know. I’m sure the guys still wanna figure this thing out, so I’m confident in our group that we’ll come out tomorrow with a sense of urgency and be better,” Durant said. It’s a tough and long battle ahead for the Suns’ clearly. Will the Suns be able to overcome their worst phase in recent years? Only time will tell.
