‘Clipped, a mini-series on the downfall of ex-owner of the Los Angeles Clippers Donald String, is the talk of the town currently. The series stars actors who have played the role of former players from the LA unit such as Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, JJ Redick, Jamal Crawford, head coach Doc Rivers, etc. Although the acting is quite palpable, fans did not love the casting for the series. Since its release, ‘Clipped’ has taken a lot of jabs, particularly for their casting of Warriors star Stephen Curry. JJ Redick and Crawford, who shared a few minutes to speak about the new release seem to agree with the popular response

JJ Redick and Crawford are two of about 15 NBA players that appear in the series. The two have played significant roles for the Clippers – Crawford winning two of his 3 6th Man of the Year, and Redick growing to be one of the finer shooters in his 4-season run therein. It was thus, only natural for the two NBA stars to bring up the hottest series in the league currently as Crawford joined the Magic star on his podcast.

“Who do you think is the worst representation of a player?… In terms of how the actor looks and how the player actually looked at the time.” The 3x 6MOTY replied, “Steph Curry is a little off, but Redick was not satisfied with the answer.

Redick subtly mocked the casting, “A little off?!” Crawford replied, “I’m being nice here, a little off, just a little. Steph got clipped,” as the two cracked up. The casting of Klay Thompson was also controversial. However, the Golden State Warriors duo are not the elephant in the room.

The casting for JJ Redick and Jamal Crawford was not accurate either according to the duo. Crawford, played by Darryl Wesley, went on to rant about the looks of his character on the series

What does Jamal Crawford think about the casting of his character?

Crawford was definitely not happy with his representation on the ‘Clipped‘. He shared, “I have never used a piece of spray paint in my life. Why do they have my hair looking like that?” Redick couldn’t agree more. He replied, “You’ve always had a great hairline.”

Redick also added, “You got sideburns. You got like, full thing with sideburns, a little fade here.” Crawford also felt that Chris Paul’s casting did not fit the picture. “CP is a little shorter than I remember,” said Crawford, to which Redick replied, “The CP in ‘Clipped’ is not in shape“. Paul had also attested himself, that

However, Crawford praised the show for how funny it is, although he believes some parts of the story are not true. Paul previously attested to that revealing his wife’s scene with Donald Sterling’s wife never happened. But Crawford is aware it is for the purpose of entertainment, so he is fine with it. Crawford finished watching two episodes, and he is eagerly waiting for the next one to drop.
