“Entrepreneurship is hard,” Carmelo Anthony stated earlier this month, despite having quite the portfolio to his name. Yes, it is fun and enticing with a lot of creativity, but entrepreneurs are also on their own when dealing with ups and downs. That has been the hardest part for him in transitioning from basketball to entrepreneurship. But with a net worth of $160 million and trusted people on his side, he has a production, clothing, and wine businesses. The ‘hustling and bustling’ satisfies him the most, though.
“You might get bogged down, you might get tired, and you might start overthinking. But seeing the outcome of your work and reap the benefits of all the hustle and bustle makes it all worth it.” Well, in line with this, Carmelo Anthony has added another feather in his cap. What is it?
‘Nobleman’, the premier luxury lifestyle magazine, unveiled Carmelo Anthony as their new cover star earlier this week. The collaboration honors Melo for his ventures beyond the court and his mantra of ‘staying Melo’. In the process, the 10x All-Star became the first NBA star to grace the magazine’s cover, and he did so with some style, suiting his wine taste or even the impressive watch collection.

As per the magazine, the shoot was carried out at 1116 Chantilly Rd, Los Angeles, which currently is available for buyers at $28 million. Credited to Cindy Ambuehl for the listing, the property has 10 beds and is spread over 18,500 sq feet. If Carmelo Anthony is looking for a place to, this could be one as it offers him a glass temperature-controlled wine cellar for over 1,000 bottles.
Together with cofounder Asani Swann, Anthony launched his own brand, VII(N) The Seventh Estate in 2022. This year, they collaborated with legendary Napa winery Robert Mondavi. Melo has plans ahead, admitting that he did not just want to buy wine as an ardent fan of it, but rather make an impact on the industry. The magazine celebrates that side of Melo.
“A perfect match: @CarmeloAnthony x @NOBLEMAN 🏀🔥 Go behind the scenes of our cover shoot with Melo—where style, hustle, and passion come together. From the court to the world of wine and beyond, this collaboration couldn’t be more iconic,” the magazine wrote, while also giving a glimpse into the shoot.
In the reel, viewers heard him say, “Being able to do things that is unexpected [fuels his drive]. Being in that lane, in a singular lane for so long as an athlete, you are just stuck on that lane. So for me, it was about kinda breaking those barriers and getting out of the lane and just being an athlete.”

Among his many ventures, VII(N) might just be the one that speaks about his passion. “Wine has been a passion of mine for a long time,” he stated. The New York Knicks icon has always had a love for wine, translating it into the blends he curates today. Ode to Soul, in collaboration with Mondavi, was one such. “I really wanted to blend something that’s understandable to people with different palates,” he had said in July, emphasizing that drawing in more people was also an aim.
Melo wishes to break barriers with the brand, making space for the representation of his community in the industry. And he has some help from his friends Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, who have also ventured down the path. But looks like Melo is just beginning and when he loves something passionately, he ensures in shows.
Carmelo Anthony flaunts his passion without hesitation!
Carmelo Anthony was ridiculed for his love of wine during his NBA career when the drink wasn’t seemingly as popular among the players. He made a business out of it! But there was one more thing he was passionate about and followed a similar approach: Flaunt his passion without fearing ridicule.

“I don’t like to boast, but I am like one of the first guys [in basketball] to embrace the world of timepieces and watches. I know the history for each brand and [I like] sharing that knowledge with everybody else,” he said in 2015. At that point, he had over 20 watches. The Knicks star once even bought 12 Rolex watches for his teammates. Now, he has a whole collection to showcase his love for it.
In his mansion in Winchester, New York, he has a collection of pieces from Richard Mille, Hublot, Patek Philippe, Breguet, and more. Melo even has two special watches among them, although selecting was not difficult.
“My LeBron James Audemars is a special gift from him. That was special I mean as far as like what they mean like those probably was the only two. That Muhammad Ali IWC means a lot to me I was able to get number seven of the collection so it was a beautiful thing that I was able to get,” he stated in November.
