Spoilt for Choice on a Tricky Question, Magic Johnson Snubs His $6.05 Billion Acquisition to Side With His “Family”

Magic Johnson is a fan of sports. He loves seeing people prove what they have and show their skills to the world. He always watches various sports events and often shares his opinion on social media. With sports being a major part of his life, he has involved himself in managerial and ownership positions on various teams. This is not just in basketball but on teams in other major sports as well.

In his business endeavors, he recently acquired an NFL team. The Washington Commanders are currently building up the team to compete for a championship. But the team had to hear rather disappointing news, as Johnson shared his honest opinion about them when comparing them to his other teams.

Magic Johnson was on the latest episode of The Dan Patrick Show. During the show, Johnson was put in a position to make a rather tough decision. Well, the question seemed to be hard, but for the Los Angeles Lakers legend, the answer was quite easy.

Magic Johnson was asked if he could only watch one for the rest of his life, which would he pick: the Dodgers, Lakers, or Commanders.

Considering the fact that all three teams are from three different sports and that Johnson is a part of all three of the teams, his answer was really intriguing. The NBA icon started off by saying that the Commanders are still new to him. The LA Dodgers are his favorite team in baseball. He also owns 2.5% of the team. But then he goes and explains that he is a Laker.

Johnson said, ‘If I am ever put in a position where I can only choose one, then 1A will be the Lakers, 1B will be my Dodgers, and then 1C because I just got the Commanders“.

Johnson then mentions that once he develops the Commanders a little more, they will be able to fight on the list.

Magic’s newest $6 billion investment

Magic Johnson and a group of investors recently purchased the Washington Commanders. Since the sale of the team, Johnson has been heavily involved in the activities of the team. He hopes to take the team to new heights. He also expressed his desire to develop the players on and off the field.

Johnson wants the team to be fully invested. The ownership has already put in money to improve the practice facility and the stadium for the players to play in. Now the team hopes to compete and maybe one day be higher on Magic Johnson’s list.
