To honor the legacy of the NBA great, the $5.9 billion Lakers, along with Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, revealed a heartwarming gesture recently. This gesture has made headlines around the world and has caught the eyes of many, including Kobe?s teammate for seven years. The former Lakers star took to Twitter to pose a pressing question for the world at large.
The Black Mamba played for twenty years in the NBA, fighting all the injuries and doing unimaginable things on the court. Kobe?s impact has surpassed the bounds of the basketball court and has served as an inspiration to many people in other walks of life as well.

Former Lakers star’s intriguing question about Kobe Bryant
Acknowledging Bryant’s contributions to the franchise, the Lakers have decided to honor Kobe?s legacy with a statue in the middle of the city at ‘Star Plaza‘. The Lakers released a video with Kobe?s wife, Vanessa, giving the massive news to fans worldwide with the caption ?Kobe?s legacy immortalized.??Vanessa, representing the organization and the Bryant family, extended an invitation to all the fans to participate in the historic occasion.

Even Kobe?s former teammate and one of his best friends, Lamar Odom, could not hold back his excitement and joy. Odom and Kobe played together for seven years and won two championships together. Odom’s ‘Black Mamba’?tattoo on his neck proves the impact of Bryant on his life. The 43-year-old, while re-posting the video on his Twitter, playfully questioned if the statue would have “Afro Kobe” or “Caesar cut Kobe.”

Kobe played for 20 years in the NBA. For all the 20 seasons he played, he was loyal to one team, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Black Mamba won five NBA championships, a league MVP, and many more accolades during his time in the city of Angels. He dedicated his time and effort to the organization’s success. The date of the statue’s unveiling, 2.8.24, was chosen to coincide with Kobe’s retired jersey numbers 8 and 24.
