It?s been almost two decades since Bulls Legend Michael Jordan announced his retirement from the world of professional basketball. In those two decades, the NBA has seen many changes taking place in various aspects that bind the sport together. One of them is the amount of money that players earn.
A point raised by Jordan 18 years ago still holds true, with his former agent revealing the current scenario in an interview.

Recently, Jordan?s former agent David Falk sat down with GQ Sports for his very own interview.
Discussing topics ranging from Free Agency to Contract Negotiations, Falk also touched upon the topic of how the current system disparages the salary aspect.
According to Falk, the NBA of today has become ?clogged? by a bunch of athletes that may play well but they don’t contribute in bringing in revenues, ticket sales, selling concessions etc, on the same level as some over the top amazing players like Stephen Curry. Despite this fact, those athletes get to earn on a similar level as the amazing players due to the “foolish” restrictions that have been established in the system. He placed some of the blame on the Players Union.
?How do you differentiate Curry from Klay Thompson? How do you differentiate Giannis from Middleton?? said Falk when discussing the pay issue. ?That’s the whole point. They created a system where it’s like gross homogenization.? This, according to the agent, took all the excitement away from the business.
