Getting the opportunity to witness the legend in action, a renowned Hollywood star dropped a stunning comparison between Messi and NBA icon Michael Jordan.

The highly anticipated match saw live commentary being conducted by representatives of Apple TV. During the match, the crew took turns to take a quote from each and every major name who was present to witness the same. LAFC co-owner and renowned actor Will Ferrell stated his excitement by exclaiming that he had people reaching out to him as far back as May just to secure a ticket.
?This is so cool for MLS, this is so cool LAFC and the entire league, it’s great!,” said Ferrell during the interview. The Apple TV crew also took a moment to question 54-year-old Oscar and BAFTA nominee Owen Wilson during the pregame period.

The actor had come to the stadium to watch the game along with his family. Speaking on the vibrant atmosphere and the high anticipation to watch Messi in action, Wilson began to grow a sense of D?j? vu as he dropped a bold statement. “I saw Michael Jordan one time and this is like the same thing,“ said Wilson during the interview.
While Wilson witnessed Inter Miami winning 3-1, he was certainly over the moon after witnessing La Pulga in action. Nevertheless, the night was about get more special for Wilson.

Owen Wilson, donning a LAFC cap, may have been rooting for Messi?s rivals but he surely had the football legend in his prayers. During his interview with ESPN, the Zoolander star stated just that.
“Messi is my favorite player in the world. I was so happy when Argentina won the World Cup. I met the reporter who was shouting, ‘Argentina world champion’ as he started crying and I can’t wait to see Messi in person tonight. I’m as excited as a kid on Christmas”.
Once the game was over, a shirtless Messi was seen interacting with fans and obliging them with a picture or two. The most heartwarming moment took place when the footballer walked up to where Owen Wilson and his family were standing. After embracing the actor, Messi proceeded to sign the jerseys of the latter?s two children.
