The late great Kobe Bryant has left behind a legacy that continues to inspire people. The tragic accident in January 2020 took away Kobe and his daughter Gianna’s life, along with seven other people. Now, almost four years later, the impact that Kobe had on the world is visible. Whereas Vanessa Bryant’s goal is to continue to make efforts to inspire people through Kobe and Gigi’s memories.

Recently, Vanessa reached out to her longtime friend and asked for something that made her emotional. La La Anthony penned a heartfelt note, thanking Vanessa and expressing her pride in her son for being handed a huge responsibility.

Kobe Bryant’s legacy gets a new representative

Kobe is among those few athletes whose impact and influence can’t be measured with stats. Similar to what Michael Jordan did for the sport, the late Mamba stands tall with everything he did for the world. Today, he represents the true nature of an athlete. Very few people have the admiration of the whole world by their side. People from all walks of life cite the LA Lakers legend as their biggest source of inspiration. Going by the number of lives he touched and changed for the good, there will never be another Kobe. His wife Vanessa recently announced the new representative of Kobe and Gigi’s legacy.

Vanessa looks after the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. Through this program, her goal is to inspire young kids to do good in life as well as provide funds for their dreams. “Creating positive impact for underserved athletes and boys & girls in sports”, is the motto that the foundation adheres to. Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife La La recently posted on her Instagram about her 16-year-old son Kiyan modeling for the foundation’s new sweatsuit range. She wrote, “This is sooo cool. When V called me & said she wanted Kiyan to model the new @mambamambacitasports sweatsuit I was so touched”.

“Kiyan gets to represent Kobe & GiGi in this way! So special”, she added.

Kiyan Anthony is honored to be a part of Kobe Bryant’s legacy

Following the release of Mamba & Mambacita’s new sweatsuit range, Kiyan also shared images from his photoshoot. The 16-year-old wrote that he is “Honored” to be a part of this campaign. Under Vanessa’s post announcing their brand’s new model, Kiyan wrote “Love you so much Auntie V ❤️”. The 16-year-old also said that he loves the color whereas his mother La La was simply proud to see her boy in the new role.

Other than his recent modeling gig, Kiyan has been making big moves for his professional basketball career as well. Recently, he hinted at representing Syracuse in the near future. His father, Carmelo too, has represented the Orange for one year back in 2002. Whether the 16-year-old will move forward in his father’s footsteps is a question for the future, but teasing the possibility surely worked with the fans.
