When asked if there’s any update on the construction, Buss mentioned that it’s a bit premature. But the 61-year-old expressed hope and excitement.

While she did not provide specifics, she mentioned that creating a memorial for Kobe Bryant is a priority. Buss emphasized the significance of Bryant’s contributions to the Lakers and highlighted the impact he had on the franchise and its fans.

Earlier this year, Bryant’s former teammate Pau Gasol had his jersey retired in Staples Center. The man won two rings with Kob and Buss had this to say about the Spaniard’s big night. “I felt like Kobe was in the building.”

It’s clear that the owner also misses one of the biggest stars of her franchise. But of course, he was not the only Laker she discussed during the interview.
