The Shaq Foundation was back for its third iteration, as a fundraiser. While the celebrities Shaq invites are usually A-listers, this time was something truly special. With names like Jennifer Hudson and John Legend ready to perform, and Joel McHale serving as guest host, the event promised to be spectacular.

With the noble cause behind it, the entire showcase was the unique blend of philanthropy and music that O’Neal personifies. After its glorious success, the Los Angeles Lakers legend had a message for his haters.

With a legendary event, that even got the 4x NBA Champion a luxurious vacation, it is safe to say that Shaq is running high. But the wording of his post does seem like a direct shot at LaVar Ball.

LaVar Ball went after Shaquille O’Neal’s fortune

While he’s never been shy of expressing his opinion, the 55-year-old took it to a different level this time around. Whether it was Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley, no one was safe from LaVar’s vitriol.

In regards to the Lakers legend, LaVar took some shots at his business model. Claiming that the big man’s lack of ownership over “his brands” would eventually hurt him and make him mad, Ball was trying to flex his superiority over everyone.

Of course, O’Neal has a net worth of nearly $400 million more than that of LaVar. So, while Ball might try to gain some clout, as Shaq’s post alluded to, he doesn’t have to be upset one bit. Not after his remarkable welfare event was a startling success.
