A professional sports athlete?s life is full of sacrifices. From their diet to their sleep cycle, everything is carefully monitored by coaches and staff. The professional athlete also has to sacrifice his social life from a young age in order to make it to the top of the league. Every professional athlete is aware of the sacrifices that have to be made but only the elite can truly do this.
In a recent social media post, Kevin Garnett gives his honest take on the ?ideal athlete?.

In a recent Instagram post of “KgCertified“, the caption reads, ?If you have the chance to workout with Big Ticket? don?t just throw it away. Kevin Garnett and Deion Sanders discuss today?s athletes, and their will to learn?. On the ?KgCertified? podcast episode, KG breaks down what, according to him, are the qualities of the ?ideal athlete?.
He says, ?I carry different. When I work with somebody, I expect that professional athlete to insist on responsibility to his talent. To be the best he can be. Not just for him, but for his family and everybody else that?s pushing him.?. The ?Big Ticket? further adds, ?And if I don?t get that then that?ll send me through the roof. Straight up.?.
His former Boston Celtics? teammate Paul Pierce confirms this side to KG as he says, ?I done seen him do that. I seen you did that when you was about to go workout with?.I ain?t going to say his name, in L.A.”. Kevin Garnett interjects, ?and he curved me.?. Paul Pierce continues, ?Yeah, because he was scared. He couldn?t match you.?.
Kevin Garnett explains, ?It wasn?t even that. I wasn?t expecting that. I was a fan of him and he didn?t give me ?that?. That?s when I knew ?I don?t think I can do this because when I show up and Doc want me to work with woo woo woo, man he?s going to get KG.?. The kid yawned?like I just felt like he wasn?t reciprocating.?.
Deion Sanders a.k.a Coach Prime also made an interesting comment at the end of the video. He said, ?I like college because y?all are impressionable. Y?all still got a level of listening. Y?all aint too financially stable that you can?t hear me. Because people make so much money now, they can?t hear, or see because they don?t have to. They?re already guaranteed, they?re straight.?

Known to keep his cool and a positive attitude even after defeats, Coach Prime did not hold back after the devastating loss to Stanford. The Colorado Buffaloes blew a ?29-0? lead with the final score being ?46-43? after double overtime.?He vocally expressed his shock and utter discomfort on the devastating loss.
On the “KgCertified” podcast episode, Paul Pierce drew comparisons between the harsh coaching and training procedures endured by athletes back in the day, and the more lenient system that exists today.

As the two legends were discussing how the??old school??game used to be so??tough??that it required coaches to make sure athletes were strong enough to endure the??nasty??game.?Coach Prime further adds, ?Before you touched the ball, they would run you through tests just to see who was strong enough to go through this,??said the fellow Hall of Famer.
He also talked about Coach Pat Riley who,??used to pride himself on making you throw up and quit the workout. Just so he could cut you out.?. Shilo Sanders then exposes his father/coach as he says, ?Coach Prime does something like that.?. Coach Prime later emphasizes on the fact that athletes in today?s generation cannot match up to the harshness or the intensity endured by athletes back in the day.
