Shaunie’s Husband Keion Henderson Makes 4 Promises in a Heartwarming Tribute to Wife

It’s one of the few times in Shaunie Henderson’s public life that she’s been under the microscope. Her memoir, Undefeated, gives a perspective of her that Basketball Wives and her social media don’t. While she’s putting her life out there through her book, her family didn’t forget her. Especially her husband, Keion Henderson. We know through her book that their marriage wouldn’t have happened unless the pastor met her requirements. He ticks all the boxes to give her the sweetest message on Mother’s Day.

Keion showed what Shaunie means to him in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday. “Love is such a multifaceted word, carrying different meanings for each of us. On this Mother’s Day, I want my wife, @iamshaunie to know that you are cherished, valued, and deeply loved. I thank God every day for your presence in my life. Happy Mother’s Day! With love, your husband, Keion.”

The accompanying Reel carries a moving message for Shaunie where he shows his love for her in the form of promises. “I will sacrifice for you, I will protect you, I will die to self for you, I will look over me trying to climb over to you.” The longer message ends with Keion being grateful he could be her husband.

Shaunie responded with, “I am going to watch this every single day for the rest of my life …I LOVE YOU SO MUCH HUSBAND,” and many emotionally charged emojis.

Shaunie’s kids weren’t to be outdone on Mother’s Day. They filled their Stories with the highlights of having Shaunie Henderson as the hypemom everyone wants. But Keion’s message did come close to setting a standard.

Shaunie feels all the love on Mother’s Day

There’s a lot of heat surrounding Shaunie’s memoir where she mentioned she realized later she wasn’t in love with Shaquille O’Neal who she was married to for seven years. Shaq would also admit that he wouldn’t love himself for the husband he had been. So for Keion to give his definition of love for Shaunie on Mother’s Day is quite significant.

In several parts of her memoir, she revealed she didn’t want to experience a turbulent marriage like her parents. Her parents fought a lot but were doting parents. Shaunie remembers her father as a “fun, attentive, and loving,” man though he was unfaithful to her mother. She expected the same positives as her father in her future husband. “That’s how I knew Keion was the right man for me.”

She went on to say she wouldn’t have been with Henderson if her father didn’t show her she deserved to be treated right. It shows how Keion is showering her with love while others are disparaging her honest thoughts on her memoir.
