Keion Henderson may have been married to Shaunie for just two years but has earned his place in her children’s lives in this short span. Shaunie and Keion have not only been a loving couple but parents as well. Shaunie’s youngest daughter, Me’Arah, shares a special bond with Keion as well and it was on display today. The 49-year-old businesswoman took this Father’s Day as an opportunity to extend a heartfelt tribute to Keion.

Shaunie shared a dedicated Instagram video post on Father’s Day featuring highlights of moments between Keion and the couple’s children. “A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again… Happy Father’s Day @pastorkeion to the BEST husband and one of the best Dads I’ve ever known. I love you ❤️ You are extraordinary in every way,” read the caption to the reel.

Shaunie had 4 kids — Shareef O’Neal, Me’arah O’Neal, Shaqir O’Neal, and Amirah O’Neal — with her ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal. The kids have a good bond with Keion, as evident from the video post and also stated by Shaunie Henderson in a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Life. “They have their own relationship with him. They love him so much and he loves them so much. It’s just so perfect. Not one of them has a problem with him or is disconnected,” the 49-year-old said.

Shaunie further mentioned the kids have an individual bond with Keion, and the connection just warms her heart. It is worth mentioning that the 42-year-old pastor is also a father to three daughters from his previous marriage with Felecia Henderson. He only had one biological child with Felicia, but raised her two daughters as his own, as mentioned on Distractify. This would also explain his close bond with Shaunie’s youngest daughter, Me’Arah O’Neal.

Me’Arah shares Father’s Day wish for Keion Henderson

Though all of her kids share a warm bond with Keion, as revealed by Shaunie, Me’Arah seems to be the closest one. Notably, she was the only one who wished the pastor on Father’s Day through her social media handle. While her first IG story was for her “pops” Shaq, the very next story featured Keion.

“Happy father’s day to the realest,” she wrote as the caption to the IG story. The fact that the first thing the 18-year-old asked her stepdad was to monitor her way of life shows her faith in him. “She did not ask me to shoot the basketball… Didn’t ask me for a pair of shoes. She asked me to tell her when I saw her doing something wrong because she saw me doing that with my daughter,” Keion once stated.

And it seems a bond formed since then, as Me’Arah had wished Keion on Father’s Day last year as well. In fact, she mentioned him as her bestie back then. “Happy father’s day to my bestie kern… thanks for being the most inspiring human being I know, love you so much,” she wrote in the caption to her story featuring Keion. This is no less than a testament to Keion earning an important place in the lives of Shaunie’s kids.
