The All-Star break is finally over and we are back on track to resume the action. Well, the battle did not start on the court this time, rather; it started at Studio J, between Shaquille O’Neal and Vince Carter. The Toronto Raptors legend has replaced Charles Barkley today, but that might be to honor his nomination for the Hall of Fame finals. Carter was all shy and humble about this huge selection, which Shaq did not tolerate. He wanted the fierce Vince Carter and thus Shaq decided to recall a disrespectful moment which turned him a bit too violent back then.
The 8-time All-Star was feared by some of the best centers in the league. His crazy uncontrollable vertical could put anyone on a poster, and that is exactly what happened to Shaq. That too from the baseline! Shaq shared, “Vince is one of the guys that, because of his ability, I let him do what he want… But one day, I’m on the baseline, he on the baseline, he’s got a dunk on me.” What could Shaq do? Foul him to even the disrespect?
Yep, that’s what he did. Shaq hilariously added, “I had to flagrant 3… I had to flagrant 3 his a**”. However, the 7-foot legend felt guilty about it. So he took this as a chance to apologize to Carter.

The 2000 MVP said, “This is the first time seeing him since then. I wanted to apologize but congratulations my brother on Hall of Fame. Well deserved!’ .
There we go, another wholesome moment captured on TNT. However, this was not the first one today.

Vince Carter talks highly of Shaquille O’Neal after a demand from the LA champion
As mentioned before, Carter was being too formal when he was asked about being a Hall of Fame candidate. Shaq demanded a different answer, something unique, something fierce. Carter was not capable of that, but he knew how to settle things down. The Raptors legend recalled Shaq’s Hall of Fame and mentioned that he saw it coming right when the 7-footer entered the league. That is an early prediction, but Carter was right.
The 47-year-old said, “He[Shaq] was guaranteed”. Well, Shaq did not wait to give Carter his credits too. The Big Diesel recalled Carter’s dunk to give him his flowers. Well, that is how the ‘Inside the NBA’ started on a sweet note today after the All-Star break.
