“One of the great stories in Inside history. Shaq was so mad he didn’t speak to us the rest of the night or the next day and he was really mad.” Charles Barkley once revealed how his TNT best friend and co-analyst was upset because of a joke. Chuck also gave a one-word tag to Shaquille O’Neal for his behavior. But recently Wild ‘N Out jokester explained how the Lakers legend actually responds to jokes about him.
“We were super excited man like you know, growing up in the 90s man this is one of the most famous people ever. It’s Shaquille O’Neal.” Chico Bean recently appeared on Shaq’s podcast and explained the difference between the majority of the guests and the 4x NBA Champion. “But other people, when like that happen, they be like ‘Hey cut! Hey don’t nobody else say nothing else about me! Y’all focus on each other, I’m just going to be here.‘”
The millionaire comedian continued, “So yeah, Shaq is one of my favorite guests man, ’cause he was so cool about the jokes and he was ready for whatever. And then he was coming back with jokes too, so you know it was dope.” It’s completely different from what Charles Barkley has described Shaquille O’Neal on multiple occasions.

One such story Chuck narrated in December, “I had to let it go…’Cause once he flips the switch to mad, anything can happen. So Kenny’s like, ‘Yo man let it go because this dude is so hot right now.'” Barkley continued and called Shaquille O’Neal “sensitive,” during the Steam Room Podcast about the 2021 documentary on their Inside show.
“I will tell you this about Shaq, Shaq is very sensitive…He’s very sensitive, he makes us laugh because he can give you sh–. But when you give him sh–, he gets all sensitive,” concluded Barkley.
But it’s not that Chico Bean only had positive things to say about Shaquille O’Neal. Because the comedian wanted to expose the Big Aristotle for his behavior on his show years ago.

At first, the funnyman from Washington, DC had no hope that Shaq would actually show up. “Cause you got a certain level of fame that you can hit to where we think ‘Ain’t no way this person, who is at this level and reached this level of success, is about to come on this show and let us talk about them.’”
But when he finally saw Shaquille O’Neal, Chico Bean was genuinely shocked. He described him as “the biggest human being in the world,” and also explained it as “Bad build Shaq.”
It was in 2015, and the 7-foot-1 phenom was not in his best shape. And decided to scare the comedian, “Look, I don’t even want to jump. This n—- grabbed me and was hunching me on national TV. I’m like ‘What is going on Shaq?”

That’s why when Shaquille O’Neal suggested he might spend some time with the comedian, Chico Bean clearly denied it. So, the Lakers legend might have taken the jokes on him, professionally once, but did leave an unforgiving mark on the comedian. Imagine Charles Barkley and his plight in dealing with Shaq on a day-to-day basis. Maybe, it is not wrong to call him, “Mr. Sensitive” after all.
