The turn of the century couldn’t have gone better for Shaquille O’Neal. The big man arguably had his greatest season, winning all the accolades, and becoming only the 7th player at the time to win an MVP and Finals MVP in the same year. And that year keeps getting him more recognition. His game memorabilia achieved a jaw-dropping amount at an auction. An eye candy for the Lakers fans, the 4x champion’s game-worn shoes from the 2000 NBA Finals were offered on sale at the GHRR auction.

These shoes are the most important part of the legend’s career. He wore them in Games 1 and 6 against the Indiana Pacers to win his first championship title. Furthermore, this was his first of three consecutive wins, playing alongside his former teammate Kobe Bryant. Fitting to its value, the shoes fetched $54,000 at the auction. They also feature his autograph.
