The new-found accuracy of his predictions might as well tempt Shaquille O’Neal to keep going. The NBA legend had placed a 6-pick parlay bet during the NFL Wildcard Round—and it paid off in a big way. This may come as a surprise as Shaq had not been so lucky with DraftKings betting, but after nailing five out of six predictions this time, all he needed was the LA Rams to deliver in their game against the Minnesota Vikings. And sure enough, the Rams cruised to a 27-9 victory, making Shaq’s wager nearly 25 times its original value.

Adam Lefkoe had earlier shared an Instagram story featuring O’Neal’s parlay bet. The post teased, “@Shaq is a Rams win away from turning $500 into $12k.” And while we’re all used to Shaq’s big personality, this time he wasn’t just talking—he was on track to multiply some serious cash.

By the time the Rams took the field, O’Neal had already predicted victories for the Houston Texans over the LA Chargers, the Baltimore Ravens over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills over the Denver Broncos, the Philadelphia Eagles over the Green Bay Packers, and the Washington Commanders over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With a perfect record on five games, all eyes were on the Rams.

For those who aren’t familiar with parlays, here’s a quick rundown: a parlay bet combines multiple individual bets into one. To win, every single pick has to be right. One wrong bet? The whole thing is a bust. But Shaq’s prediction was spot on.

Lefkoe, however, could not help but take some credit for Shaquille O’Neal’s win. “I had Shaq predict all of the NFL Wildcard games. I parlayed those picks. @shaq go them all right,” he wrote on X. Makes sense considering Shaq has previously struggled with DraftKings betting and had been in the learning phase.

The Rams dominated from the start, leading 24-3 at halftime. Their defense sacked Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold six times and forced two turnovers, proving to be a nightmare for Minnesota. In the second half, the Rams didn’t let up—adding another field goal to extend their lead to 27-3. As the Vikings’ hopes faded, their fans began to exit the stadium in the fourth quarter.

Shaquille O’Neal loves betting but not losing

Big Diesel is no stranger to betting, but if there’s one thing he can’t stand, it’s losing. His recent win on a 6-pick parlay must have been a sigh of relief, given his track record of high-stakes antics and a playful disdain for paying up when luck doesn’t favor him.

Remember that time Shaq and Charles Barkley were previewing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ matchup with the reigning NBA champions, the Boston Celtics? The ex-Lakers star was so confident in his prediction that he boldly claimed, “Cavs by 10.” Of course, Barkley couldn’t resist jumping in. “Bet How much? $2 million,” he fired back. As the stakes rose to an eye-watering $5 million, the tension—and the laughter—only grew.

Kenny Smith, however, wasn’t about to let Barkley forget Shaquille O’Neal’s reputation. “This dude has never paid a bet in 20 years,” he warned, and boy was Kenny onto something. Shaq made a grand show of stacking cash on the table, but here’s the kicker: it was all prop money. Lucky for him, too, since the Cavs lost a nail-biter, 120-117.

And this was not the first instance. When he lost a bet with Jamal Crawford over a Suns-Nuggets game, Crawford was thrilled to get his winnings—until he noticed Shaq’s face printed on the $100 bills. Classic Shaq, right? Even when he loses, his charm keeps him winning.
