Ever wanted to bite Shaq’s face? Even if you didn’t, it’s happening. Shaquille O’Neal has a new delicious business venture and like with everything he does, he’s hands-on. He very subtly teased his collab with Hershey’s and is set to launch his own candy brand. Shaqalicious XL Gummies meet the demand of bigger and better fruity gummies but instead of bears, they’re Shaq’s face. And it’s all “From the mind of the world’s biggest kid…” We’re missing this week’s edition of The Big Podcast because the big man got in the gummy-making process himself.

There’s been a severe Shaq drought since the playoffs. He wasn’t very active during the NBA Finals, sparing an appearance on NBA TV. He hasn’t released a new episode of his podcast too. It’s giving fans anxiety regarding the status of NBA on TNT. It however looks like he was pre-occupied with his new business.

Shaq was talking to TMZ Sports in last month when his sugar cravings took over. Out of nowhere, he started munching on gummies from a bag that said, ‘Shaqalicious XL Gummies.’ At first it looked like a personalized prop. He’s no stranger to those things, like throwing in the Superman logo on his cars and home decor, or plastering DIESEL where everyone can see.

When asked about it, he showed off bite-sized colorful likenesses of himself to announce his new business venture. “I teamed up with the biggest candy player in the world. Shaq is in the gummies business. And guess what? You can bite my head off anytime, America!” The highlight was that he was not supposed to make that announcement yet.

But now the Shaqalicious XL Gumies page popped up with the same interview. It didn’t take long to figure out it was real. O’Neal had visited the chocolate capital, Hershey’s Chocolate World in Pennsylvania in January for undisclosed reasons. That’s how Shaqalicious was born.

Shaq gets sticky with new business

The Shaqalicious page shared O’Neal’s recent visit to the factory to personally make a batch of gummies himself. To Instagram users’ hilarity, the 7’1″ giant followed the food safety codes to a T, including wearing a hairnet over his bald head. Someone immediatley pointed, “The hairnet though,” and missed that they had a ready giant lab coat for him.

One person jokingly asked, “Why is bro wearing a hair net” and got serious answers like, “because he wants his business to stay open? Lmao.” Another is here for food safety glam, rightfully saying, “he wears his like a boss with the side action.”  The side action is the net sticking on one end like a ’90s rapper snapback. But the bigger questions is, “Y u got a hair net on and u don’t got no hair.”

The official ‘Shaqalicious Gummies creator’ had to ensure food safety as he created the fruit gel, poured it into molds of his face, and personally tested a batch. “I bit myself in the face,” he joked. But some wonder if his new businesses are taking up his time and that’s why he’s been missing from media recently. They outrightly asked, “Is this why he keeps missing his sets?”
