With a pre-birthday celebration recently, Zaya Wade’s 17th birthday is turning out to be special. Dwyane Wade‘s first daughter, Zaya, turned 17 on the 29th, receiving a celebratory post from Gabrielle Union Wade. Joining alongside her in extending the wishes, multiple stars rushed to Union’s post to dote over the model, influencer, and recently, the co-founder of Transtable,

The birthday post by Union Wade included several snaps of moments between Dwyane Wade and his daughter. “17 🖤 @zayawade,” Gabrielle wrote in the caption to the post. La La Anthony then took to the comment section of the post and extended a series of heart and cake emojis — “❤❤️❤️❤️🎂🎂🎂.” Apart from this, Shaquille O’Neal‘s eldest daughter also extended her wishes to Zaya on Gab’s IG post. “Happy Birthday Zaya 🥰🤎🫶🏾,” read Taahirah O’Neal’s comment.

As for the pre-birthday celebration, this came during the time D-Wade and Gabrielle were in Chicago to support their team, Chicago Sky, against the Connecticut Sun. The celebration came as a small gathering, which included quirky details in neon-colored glasses, wristbands, and even a drink menu named after Zaya. “the birthday party vibes were 10/10,” Zaya wrote in the caption to the IG post featuring the highlights of the party.

On the ultimate occasion today, Dwyane Wade himself also shared a dedicated birthday post, captioned, “Seventeen 🎉 @zayawade”. The 17-year-old replied to her father’s post with a series of heart emojis. Apart from this, the youngest member of the Wade family, Kaavia, also extended her wishes through her official IG account. “Had your back since day 1 and still got it today! Happy Birthday @zayawade,” the caption to Kaavia’s IG post was a humorous reference to Zaya giving the little one a piggyback ride.   

Positivity towards Dwyane Wade’s family on Zaya’s special day

Most positive comments on Union Wade’s birthday post were regarding how she and D-Wade are one supportive parent. Notably,  Zaya has often witnessed a whole lot of scrutiny come her way for her gender expression. However, both Dwyane and Gabrielle have consistently stood strong with their daughter, “a giant support,” Zaya called them. “Imagine having the best parents that allow you to thrive,” commented an Insta user. The 3X NBA champion recently co-launched ‘Transtable,’ with Zaya, which provides LGBTQ+ community an online place to connect, express, and find help.

Wade has come to be known for being a vocal trans advocate since Zaya came out in 2020 when she was 12. He even moved his family from Florida to California due to the anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the state. With this 17th birthday, Zaya Wade will begin a new chapter as she continues to use the platform to reach more people.
