Shaq was already part of the celebrity Cybertruck club. Now he’s upped the game. The self-proclaimed hotrod loves his wheels but he can’t fit his 7 feet stature without some tweaks. His Tesla purchases are no different. Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t have one but two Cybertrucks now and it gets better with each splurge. Unlike Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Pharrell Williams, O’Neal’s second EV is different. His new wheels are customized Shaq-style, and he’s been flexing it through some comedy on Instagram Reels. It’s so Shaq-tastic that even Elon Musk was amazed.
A misunderstanding with LeBron James got Shaq on the Cybertruck craze by chance. He never thought he’d fit in a Tesla creation till James had a tiff with Effortless Motors. O’Neal contacted them regarding the Cybertruck and also got the misunderstanding cleared. That’s how he ended up with the new celebrity It Car in July.
We know Shaq’s addicted to it because he missed it when he was in Atlanta. Since it would be too much work to ship the car from Las Vegas, he Facetimed Effortless Motors again in August for a second one with upgrades.

Shaq got his second Cybertruck with a custom all-black makeover. This one-of-a-kind celebrity vehicle has a wide body kit and carbon fiber construction to accommodate a 7’1″ giant. O’Neal and his best friend, Anthony “Chicago” Hall, did a couple of comedy skits on Instagram that prove he fits.
No Superman Logo like the Rolls Royce and Bentleys Shaq owns. But the 4x champion’s Atlanta-only ride has wide carbon fenders, with 26″ Forgiato Wheels, gloss black wrap to match the all-black interiors, and the driver seat is moved back 8″. In the clip shared by Effortless Motors, Shaq specifically requested the black-on-black color scheme on Facetime, which the dealership owner confirmed more than once.

Usually, the celebrities hit up Elon Musk with a thanks when they get their trucks. Shaq instead drew a “Nice” on X from the Tesla mogul. He can thank LeBron for finally getting Shaq as a fan.

LeBron James does what no other celebrity did for Shaquille O’Neal
Back in July, an employee at Effortless Motors misreported Bron’s purchase. They cleared the air and that incident brought the dealership unexpected publicity. Shaq noticed and immediately splurged on a Cyberbeast in July. It’s called that because it had to be expanded for him.
Several celebrities have been dropping up to $135,000 for this truck. From Kim-K and Ye, to Bieber and the Carters, celebrities are fans of this Tesla EV. These celebrity splurges didn’t attract Shaq the way one goof up with Bron did. But the closest story of a customized Cybertruck was of a doctor painting his truck ‘Brat’ green. No one’s doing it like Shaq.

While he inherited a love for cars from his grandfather, O’Neal has always had to customize his cars to fit like sawing a Ferrari in two to extend it. He’d get some extra personalizations while he’s at it. In recent years, he’s toned it down after discovering he only had to invest in a muscle car like a Dodge once and move the seat back to fit. He once claimed he made one of his six kids return a Tesla and buy a Dodge.
King James not only drew his attention to the Cybertruck, but he’s made Shaq a true convert of the House of Tesla. “I want to thank my boy Bron, bro, appreciate you, Bron,” Shaquille O’Neal graciously stated for his Cavs teammate in a recent post flaunting his second Cyberbeast.
