Even if excelling in a particular field, an endorsement from the industry greats goes a long way. While one may be breaking onto the scene, a shout-out gets them closer to the casual audience and can help the trajectory of their career. So, even a name as big and popular as Shaquille O’Neal could do with getting an endorsement for his music career. Thankfully, a 47-year-old rap legend came through.

While he may have recently achieved billionaire status (as per himself), he’s still firmly in tune with the new generation of music.

Straightforward and simple, it was a celebration of Shaq the rapper, who first appeared back in 1993. “Shaq has been going off on the mic lately“. It seems like the former Hip Hop Man of the Year agrees with the assessment. In the clip, the 4x NBA Champion is showing off his bars from his latest album. Ross also wrote, “Wait till they get this.. MG,” in his story.

While he might be getting recommendations from industry greats for his rapping skills, his road into DJing wasn’t easy. As a result, the big man has constantly been working. Due to his commitment to the gig, which includes practice lessons with his millionaire son Myles, he continues to improve.
