It was ‘Take Your Daughter to Work‘ Day at TNT again. Taahirah O’Neal had a lot of updates backstage about Inside the NBA while her dad worked. She even spent time with her dad during off-air moments. Dinner in Shaq’s dressing room, though, went a little funnily. Apparently, NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal checked out and DJ Diesel arrived.

Taahirah O’Neal shared a brief clip on her Instagram Stories when a bass-heavy song possessed Shaq. Still in his dapper aqua-toned suit (which was the main character of the show today), the 7’1″ DJ treated the table and dinner as his DJ console. It progressed to head-bobbing, escalated to questionable hand gestures, and devolved into uninhibited head-banging and dad-dancing.

His very concerned 27-year-old wrote a plea on that clip – “Send help.” Anyone in Taahirah’s shoes seeing their parents get possessed by the EDM spirits would do that. Shaq’s just that passionate about deejaying. Calling himself the “Dubstep Daddy,” he once stated deejaying brought him closer to his eldest son, Myles O’Neal, who’s also a DJ in his own right.

Shaq and Taahirah have their business personas in common along with this signature wit and humor. A testimony of it was her last trip to her dad’s workplace.

Taahirah previously spent the Christmas holidays in Atlanta and went to Studio J with Shaq. They made the best ‘Take Your Daughter to Work’ Day video narrated by Shaq. She got to see him slack off backstage, playing with his drone and bullying Charles Barkley for TikTok trends. It appears we have an informal follow-up.

Taahirah was present at the pre-broadcast meeting, also using Shaq’s head like a DJ console. That’s probably where Shaq got the idea to make another ‘head-tapper’ dance challenge with Chuck. This time she got some cool shots of the behind-the-scenes setup at TNT.

While she’s business-savvy like Shaq and enjoys his NBA analyst persona, Taahirah is not into basketball. She made it clear she’s not built for sports when she confirmed she’s never been to a Houston Rockets home game in her hometown. Despite differing on that aspect with her NBA legend dad, Shaq has many ways of bonding with each of his kids.
