These days, Shaquille O’Neal spends his time on what he calls “side quests,” and his latest adventure on Celebrity Family Feud is nothing short of iconic. Back in 2018, Shaq joined his Inside the NBA crew for a hilarious episode featuring his usual antics with Charles Barkley. But this time, the 4x NBA champion brought in some serious backup—his family. But he was left teary-eyed as he and his mom, Lucille O’Neal, played a key role in this unforgettable win.

This year’s holiday special showdown pitted the O’Neal family against actress and comedian Sherri Shepherd’s crew. Shaq wasn’t messing around, bringing his mom, Dr. Lucille O’Neal, cousin Ken Bailey, eldest son Myles, youngest son Shakir, and longtime buddy Anthony Hall to the game. The O’Neals dominated the Shepherds, but it all came down to the nerve-wracking “Fast Money” round.

Lucille went first, answering five questions in 25 seconds like a pro, racking up a jaw-dropping 182 points. That meant Shaq only needed 18 points to clinch the $50,000 for charity.

When Shaq stepped up, Steve Harvey didn’t waste the chance to tease the big man, saying, “If you don’t make this, you will be the dumbest person of all.” Shaq was left teary-eyed, most likely from laughing so hard. However, he did answer the first four questions, then wiped away tears before the last answer. The question? Name something that matches with “jerky.” Shaq, in true comedic form, replied, “Charles Barkley,” sending Harvey into fits of laughter.

“You just being ignorant, man,” Harvey shot back. But Shaq’s first answer was enough to cross the 200-point mark, sealing the win. But one thing is clear: he loves to keep Harvey on his toes.

He did the same last time as he joined for another laugh-out-loud episode. Standing beside Harvey in the “Fast Money” round, Shaquille O’Neal played up their height difference, casually moving Harvey’s arm to his waist. Harvey, quick with his wit, joked, “Normally, I put my arm around a person. But this ain’t gonna look good.”

But it didn’t stop there. Shaq (7’1″) and Steve’s (6’1″) height created comedic gold. Shaq dwarfed Steve with an arm around his neck. And then the famous butt squish followed. However, last time, Shaq and Chuck both were hilarious with their answers.

It’s no secret that Steve Harvey has mastered the art of hosting Family Feud since 2010, but even he couldn’t keep it together when Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley took the stage. Joined by Inside the NBA co-hosts Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith, Shaq and Chuck had the audience rolling with their quick wit and hilarious answers.

Things hit a high point when Harvey turned to Barkley and asked, “If a man’s zipper breaks at church, what might he use to cover it up?” Barkley’s response was so unexpected that even Shaq couldn’t hold back. Barkley, with a grin, answered, “A child.”

The room erupted as Shaq joked, “The man gonna get us locked up. Not a good answer. Put your hands behind your back. You’re under arrest.” Chuck’s attempt at redemption only made things funnier. He claimed he meant “a baby,” but it was too late. Harvey, barely able to recover, quipped, “I told you yes, ‘person’ sounds better.”

While his response cost him the round, it didn’t matter. Together, Shaq and Chuck managed to secure $25,000 for the Mustard Seed School.
