Shaquille O’Neal called in sick to his regular job at TNT for a milestone in his daughter, Me’Arah’s student life. It’s senior night for the future Gator and her family was not going to miss it.
Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie Henderson, and her husband, Pastor Keion Henderson, were a united front for the 17-year-old on the senior night at Episcopal High School in Houston. Me’Arah flaunted her hype squad on social media by sharing the moment she walked on the court with her parental figures, reposting the moment on her Instagram Stories.
The NBA legend took a backseat while the spotlight was on Me’Arah and her classmates. He towered over the teens and the parents and stood out without trying. Me’Arah was honored along with other seniors and she stayed by her parents and stepfather the entire time while holding the flowers.

While Shaq skipped the TNT on Tuesday broadcast, Pastor Keion had his own broadcast soon after senior night. With a spiritual YouTube channel, Henderson went live on Keion Henderson TV at 7 pm on Tuesday.
Me’Arah’s brother and TSU player, Shaqir, is also an EHS alum. He shared a glimpse from one of Me’Arah’s last high school games on his Instagram story and added a nostalgic statement in the next slide that read, “been here b4.” Shaq also has made sure that he is present during the important events for his daughter as was evident last year.
Me’arah participated in the 2023 Nike Girls Elite Youth Girls Basketball Tournament and played with her team, Nike affiliate CYFAIR Elite Sports. Afterward, she shared snapshots of the tournament on social media and several photographs of her hugging her father, who had come to support her.
Meezy enjoyed the senior night with her classmates. Most of her Instagram updates were about how much she’ll miss her high school teammates. She even had a few others supporting her at the game with signs of her recent honor.

Several of Meezy’s loved ones were at the game sporting boards showing off her McDonald’s All-American selection. After committing to the University of Florida in the presence of her parents and siblings, Me’Arah was making Shaq’s prediction of her on-court greatness come true one step at a time.
The 6’4″ forward who led the Knights to a 23-5 record was announced to the McDonald’s All-American game this month. While she sprinted in joy, her family was over the moon too. This is the same honor a teenage Shaq made in 1989.
Next on the cards for senior Me’Arah is an SPC championship before heading to college. Considering the way she’s going, she’s checking the to-do list very effectively and her father is there every step of the way.
