Shaquille O’Neal’s not done picking on Rudy Gobert. It’s ironic that the Inside the NBA season opener was the LA Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves’ first game of this season. Right after, Shaq and Rudy had a series of back-and-forths. O’Neal has a way of balancing his many feuds with his businesses, though. And he promoted Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies well during this one. After the Timberwolves lost 110-103, Shaq was still waiting for Rudy to prove him wrong. Or he can take a sweet offering.
On USA Today Sports, they brought back Shaq’s comments when he touched a sore nerve for Gobert. O’Neal still doesn’t believe the 4x DPOY’s previous $250 million contract is justified. “Forget about my resume. It’s also personal motivation. So now, Rudy and Ben [Simmons], show me what you got.”
Shaq probably did this interview before Gobert’s new contract extension because he’s talking about the old argument again. He’s waiting for the Frenchman to make every penny he’s paid worth it. He’d gladly accept it if Gobert proved him wrong on the court.

He reiterated his old point with a new suggestion to Gobert. “Show me what you going to do Rudy. Shut me up and if you don’t like it, bite my face off with these Shaq Gummies.” And yes, 7’1″ endorsement machine was holding onto a bag of Shaq-a-Licious XL Gummies to shove it into the camera for this exact moment. Will Rudy catch the bait?

Rudy Gobert is not looking Shaq-a-Licious
Before the Timberwolves headed into the Lakers game, they agreed on a new contract with Rudy Gobert. He took a ‘discount’ with a $110 million contract extension. He’s left enough cap space for the organization to negotiate new contracts with their imports from New York. While Shaq hasn’t bothered, fans and a few others had feelings about Gobert’s contract value before the game.
Inside the NBA was focused on LeBron and Bronny James’ father-son debut more and Anthony Edwards’ dominance. Shaq was still not seeing any of that money’s worth from Gobert in the game. Fans even saw what he was talking about when Bronny James posterized Gobert. Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis too threw some shade at Gobert’s performance.

Previously, Shaquille O’Neal said, “I’m going to tell you why. Because if you sign a contract for ($)250 (million), show me 250,” and got a response from Gobert on X. But Big Diesel is waiting to be silenced on the court and using his nemesis to sell candy. Until then, Gobert could bite a gummy Shaq head and bounce back.
