Shaquille O’Neal deviated from the traditional holiday spirit to drop a rap song that raised the temperature in December. Three months into 2024, his ‘chaotic’ collaborator, GAWNE is showing how their partnership played out. The YouTube-famous up-and-coming rapper finally shared the behind-the-scenes fun of filming “Chaos” with Big Diesel. This comes not long after the rapper was gushing about Shaq’s incredible talent to come up with lyrics in record time.
Luke Gawne released, “Ep 5 | How I Made A Music Video with Shaquille O’Neal,” on his official social media pages on Tuesday. It shows never-before-scene footage of them filming their first song together, “Chaos,” which they released on December 8th, 2023. Big Diesel in his massive DIESEL necklace is seen manhandling the Chicago-based rapper who previously composed a song for Michael Jordan.
Apart from filming the song at a fancy pool-front property in the night, they also filmed with an eye-catching Rolls Royce. It’s not the same car Shaq gifted to GAWNE to celebrate their collab. Hilariously, Shaq seemed to have something to do with procuring the Rolls for the music video and he had a very nervous Gawne drive it up to the set.

Someone on set joked Gawne had more pressure on him than Shaq had in an NBA final. O’Neal even laid the consequences of getting a scratch on it. “If you would’ve wrecked it, I’d give you a head start to Mexico.”

Gawne didn’t have to escape to Mexico though and he has a Rolls Royce to call his own now. O’Neal customized a $1 million stunner on wheels just for his new favorite artist. And he quipped he had to take an Uber. But this isn’t the last of what we’re seeing of this duo.

Shaquille O’Neal and Gawne on Inside the NBA
Shaq was the one who reached out to the NBA fanatic over Instagram DMs. He sent his verse for a song in a matter of days and they dropped “Chaos” during the holidays. An animated version of the music video also premiered on Inside the NBA.

TNT amplified the All-Star Weekend with a live performance by DJ Diesel. He brought out Gawne on stage in Indiana and left the Inside Guys impressed. Gawne hyped the original athlete-rapper’s composing prowess but he impressed Chuck the most. Charles Barkley praised Shaq for giving young artists like GAWNE a platform and boost. The praise from his frenemy was so shocking, O’Neal was ready to call it a wrap.
