Shaq-a-Claus may be silent about it, but his son and his fan couldn’t resist revealing his generosity. Shaquille O’Neal made sure one fan and his family had a Christmas present that screamed Big Diesel but instead of a tree, the present was at a basketball court. This fan has a connection to Shaq’s son, Shareef O’Neal, and he was proud to share his dad’s kind holiday gesture.
Portland Trail Blazers fans may be familiar with Pooh Jeter. Apart from being the team’s player development coach, he used to be the assistant GM for an NBA G-League team. That’s probably how he’s close to Shareef. The O’Neals gifted Jeter and his kids a signed poster of Shaq in Lakers gold and looking loud even in 2D.
Jeter shared it on his Instagram Stories with a “Salute @shaq @shareefoneal.” Shareef shared it on his Instagram stories too with an additional message, “My guys!! Miss y’all… merry Christmas.”

Shaq’s kids celebrate his Christmas spirit
This wasn’t the only time one of O’Neal’s kids were moved by their generous dad. In the days leading up to Christmas, Taahirah O’Neal was shopping with Shaq, and she shared his impromptu kind act on Instagram too. Shaq put an entire Forever 21 store full of shoppers’ bills on his tab moving Taahirah to tears.
This is the same guy whose Santa bubble was broken when his stepfather said, “We don’t got no chimney, we in the projects.” Shaq kept the generational trauma going by telling Taahirah and her siblings, “There’s no chimney in Miami.”

Other lucky kids get Shaq-a-Claus. The O’Neal kids get prankster Shaq. Nonetheless, they’re clearly proud of having a generous dad who makes people happy.
