TNT has come up with interesting segments on Inside the NBA which has kept the viewers locked in even after the playoff games. One such segment is Ernie Johnson’s ‘Streaks‘, where a series of NBA trivia questions are asked to the co-hosts. However, the twist here is that one wrong answer is enough to kick you out of the hot seat. Today, the scapegoat was none other than Houston Rockets legend Kenny Smith, who had to answer a question about Shaquille O’Neal‘s time with the Orlando Magic.
Smith was a bit too confident before the game started. Shaq told Smith, “You might get one, you ain’t gonna get two“. But Smith replied, “I’ll get five”. So, Johnson decided to come up with a tough question, “How many 3-pointers did you make in the 1995 Finals sweep of Shaq’s magic?” Smith went clueless in a jiffy. It was a four-game series, and Smith had to remember the number of 3-pointers he made in all four games. He was given four options, and Smith went with “9” as the answer.
However, it was “8”, so Smith had to leave the hot seat with a score of 0. Smith said, “You know what happened. I hit seven in game 1…Game 2, I didn’t really play for about eight minutes…I hit one, and then we swept.” Sadly, this realization from Smith was a bit too late.

Smith was asked a tricky question. However, that was not the case for Barkley. When the Philadelphia 76ers legend took the hot seat, he was questioned, “How many games did you play?”. A direct, simple question, isn’t it? The Chuckster was also given multiple choices, but he went on to choose, “976”, which was wrong. Barkley has played a total of 1073 games, but he was not aware of it.
The best part was Barkley dishing out an answer with full confidence. The game ended within 10 seconds, and Johnson got out of the chair in disbelief. The 61-year-old sat in the hot seat in denial. The case is the same with Shaq too. The Big Diesel failed in his very first question. After today, Smith has also joined the scoreboard, and all three are tied with a zero. It’s high time that Johnson changes the name of this game to something else because none of them are going to have a streak anytime soon.
