It’s safe to say that Shaquille O’Neal had the NBA script ready in his hands. Jimmy Butler’s absence made the Boston Celtics the favorite to win the series. After Jayson Tatum and Co. took the lead in game 1, the TNT crew decided to side with the Celtics, but Shaq wanted to be unique. The brave 7ft giant even went on to bet with Charles Barkley, but the highlight here was Shaq’s accuracy.
Ahead of game 2 between the Celtics and the Miami Heat, Shaq shared, “Miami by 10 tonight“, to which Charles Barkley replied, “Bet me!“. The Heat trailed down by 3 points during halftime. However, Shaq decided to double the bet as he shared, “Jimmy’s not there, so it will be difficult to square Kevin Love and look they are shooting the ball great. I know they’re gonna maintain this. Chuck, I will double whatever the bet is. If they continue to shoot, they are gonna steal this game. Because in a game with the Boston, they are going to live by the three and die by the three.”
Shaq’s accuracy was on point because the Miami Heat defeated the Celtics, 111-101, exactly by 10 points, which left Barkley in absolute silence. The Lakers legend flexed a few thousand dollars, and shared, “Pat Riley, Mickey [Arison], that was a great game…Heat Nation, what’s up baby!“, as Barkley continued analyzing the game. However, the Big Diesel did not stop with this.

Shaq showcased Barkley’s humiliation to all of his 34.6 million followers right after calling him out on live TV. The 2000 MVP addressed the viewers, “Didn’t I tell y’all that the Miami Heat are gonna win by 10? ‘Shaqstradamus’ strikes again. Get it, Charles, get it.” On top of this, he shared a hilarious video of a woman dancing, and photoshopped Barkley’s face into it to mock the Sixers legend.
This is not the first time Barkley has lost a bet to Shaq. However, what’s contrasting is that Shaq chose the Celtics to win the series before the playoffs started. Quite odd isn’t it? Anyhow, Shaq’s bet was only for game 2. His accuracy was on point, and that gave him the upper hand to roast Barkley, both on live television and the internet. Let’s wait and watch if the Big Diesel continues to bet on game 3 as well!
