Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley hilariously roast Shaq as they step into the final stretch of their TNT journey. Fresh year, a fresh start, but the Inside Guys’ approach to their show never changes. The Christmas and New Year decoration still hasn’t come off yet at the studio and before that, Shaquille O’Neal, who showed up tonight with a new striking Parisian style, got mercilessly trolled by his colleagues on their return from holiday.

The big man wore a blue suit and complimented it with a silky collar scarf, which he ultimately addressed as “My French look”. However, Kenny and Chuck didn’t let him easily get away with it. The Rockets legend acted as if he failed to recognize Shaq and said, “I didn’t know that was Shaq. I thought that was Thirstin Howl III.”

Immediately, on the other hand, Barkley said, “First of all, that’s not a French look. Just because you like French Fries and French Toast, it doesn’t make you French. But you look nice, Liberace.”

Tonight, after the holidays, the Inside Guys returned to the studio to impart their basketball knowledge for the scheduled games. A few months ago, it seemed the fans would miss out on this show because of the media deal. Luckily, after a long debate, this hilarious bunch will continue their service as ESPN and ABC will take over the show from TNT and air it next season as part of a settlement between Warner Bros. Discovery and the NBA. Notably, TNT will continue to produce the show.

Anyway, getting back to the trolling, Charles Barkley wasn’t done yet. He added, “He’s closer to Liberace than Thirstin Howl.” O’Neal also wasn’t taking it all in, as he played around with his accent.

Nevertheless, it was a good laugh!

What’s your perspective on:

Shaq's 'French look'—a fashion statement or just another reason for Kenny and Chuck to roast him?

Have an interesting take?

Shaquille O’Neal takes the trolling off the camera

Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley had their own comparisons to Shaq’s look. Kenny referred to him as the late singer and pianist, Władziu Valentino Liberace. This American artist had nothing to do with France, although he had his Italian and Polish roots from his parents. But it had something to do with the looks.

Apart from Liberace’s songs, he was known for his unapologetic fashion sense. The star singer always had a camera-ready look and carried a flamboyant personality. More importantly, he packed it all with over-the-top fashion, wearing signature capes, designer suits, and satin or silky shirts. Now we know why Kenny recognized Shaq as Liberace.

During the break, Shaquille O’Neal shared a selfie video of a closer look at his attire on his IG and wrote, “French fries French toast and French Shaq,” along with hashtags that read ‘I know I’m sexy’ and ‘Fine older man’. The big man is indeed living on his part.

Meanwhile, Chuck compared him to Thirstin Howl III, the Brooklyn-based rapper. The rapper also has an unapologetic fashion sense much different from Liberace. He is more inclined toward street fashion charged with vintage aesthetics.

Nevertheless, what do you think? Who does Shaq resemble? Let us know in the comments.
