Shaquille O’Neal dashed hopes for a potential collaboration. Just two months ago, the Big Aristotle revealed a sweet surprise to his fans. After a Shaq-A-Roni, he announced that the fans would also get Shaq-A-Licious, a sweet treat. While many are naturally thrilled at O’Neal’s collaboration with Hershey, others saw it as an opportunity for the Big Aristotle to have a Hot Daddy collaboration too. However, the millionaire businessman rejected the idea due to his one condition.
During an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, co-host Adam Lefkoe asked the 4x NBA champ about the idea. In response, Shaq revealed that he “is keeping it (gummies) for the kids.” Unfortunately, it will upset the hundreds of fans who initially tossed the question.
O’Neal first teased his collaboration with Hershey’s Chocolate World back in May 2024. During an interview with TMZ Sports, the Lakers legend revealed a packet of Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies. The different flavors, such as peach, berry punch, and orange, aren’t the only surprise.

The biggest twist is that these gummies are shaped like Shaq’s face. It makes us wonder whether the legend himself came up with the idea. “Well, I teamed up with the biggest candy player in the world. Shaq is in the gummies business. And guess what? You can bite my head off anytime, America!” O’Neal said during the interview with TMZ Sports. But, is the 52-year-old the only athlete to have a deal with Hershey?

The official Instagram page of Shaq-A-Licious also made the news official. “A secret so big, we just couldn’t keep it anymore,” the post read.
The Big Aristotle deserves special credit for his odd yet interesting way of revealing his newest deal. He was also seen closely associated with the making of the gummies. Now again, is he the only basketball star with a Hershey’s deal? WNBA star Angel Reese is also in talks to have a deal with the chocolate brand, as per TMZ.

Reese’s latest tweets also hint at the same. It began with the Chicago Sky rookie’s message on X for her fans, whom she refers to as Reese’s Pieces. Hershey’s Reese’s handle quickly responded by expressing its love for the athlete, sparking hopes for a collaboration. Seemingly agreeing with the rumors, a Hershey’s spokesperson said, “Reese x Reese does sound quite tasty.”
Reese also holds a sneaker deal with Reebok. Judging from her current tweets, a Hershey’s deal might be incoming.
