Apart from Inside the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal has his own show, The Big Podcast, boosting more than 150k subscribers. The Los Angeles Lakers legend is one of the few in the NBA world who has successfully garnered attention through his efforts on YouTube. Another one to do so is NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, who runs the First Take on ESPN, and also his own podcast Club Shay Shay, which has a whopping 3.18 million subscribers. Imagine if the above two collaborated for an interview. With the ongoing feud between them, a collaboration would be unlikely, but here is what Shaq had to say when he was asked about one.

On the latest episode of The Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal was joined by American comedian Funny Marco, who had quite a lot of questions for the NBA legend. One of them was, So when are we getting a Shannon Sharpe and a Shaq show?”. Shaq questioned in doubt, When is he going to interview me?” After getting a nod from Marco, he replied, One day, but also added, I’m not there yet.

Sharpe and Shaq are only coming out of a feud. Shaq’s controversial statement to Nikola Jokic after the Denver Nugget center won his third MVP did not stand well with a lot of people. He directly told Jokic that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander deserved the award more and Shannon Sharpe decided to give the Lakers legend a reply.

Sharpe said Shaq was “envious of Jokic’s dominance, which is the reason why he praised Gilgeous-Alexander while announcing the winner of the MVP. After this caught the Big Diesel’s attention, he decided to give a reply in style. The 52-year-old released a diss track with a few hard-hitting words against Sharpe. He also shared an Instagram post in which he called out Sharpe, If you ain’t ranked in the top ten in your profession, then you can’t speak on Me.” With this beef making its rounds, Funny Marco requested a collab, which Shaq denied for the time being.

Shannon Sharpe takes the high road which hints at a possible collaboration in the future

There were a lot of words exchanged between the two sporting legends. However, Sharpe revealed two days back that he was ready to move on from this incident. The NFL legend was seen at the Webby Awards’ red carpet, where he was questioned about the ongoing feud. The 55-year-old said, I mean, I don’t have no problem with Shaq…He said what he saidI’m ready to move on.” That’s mature of Sharpe to take the high road.

Shaq, on the other hand, revealed today that he is not there yet to collaborate with the NFL icon but only after reasoning his claims on SGA a day back. “I never said I didn’t like Joker[Jokic]. I just said that I thought Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won the MVP… It blew up because certain people who don’t have the same kind of ideas…” he said.

So, with all seeming to have settled, and Shannon Sharpe with a possibility of not minding a good interview with Shaq, could a future collaboration be in view?
