Shaquille O’Neal was reveling in proud dad mode recently as his youngest daughter played on Senior Night of her high school. Shaq joined his ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson, and her husband, Pastor Keion Henderson, to be Me’Arah’s escorts at her game. We saw the family’s social media posts on it. Shaq now delivered the up-close moments in his signature style.

In a collaborative post, the highlights of the Episcopal High School senior’s game were converted into a music video. “Having fun with it,” the Instagram Reel was captioned. It was a montage of Me’Arah set to Z-Ro’s “Stop the Rain.” That’s the 2020 track that boasted DJ Diesel as the featuring artist.

Shaqir O’Neal, currently playing at Texas Southern University, is an EHS alum. He was feeling nostalgic about his own senior night after Meezy’s posts. Following Shaq’s music video, he shared a video from a game he apparently attended with an expressive, “Her,” on his Instagram Stories. As much as her siblings are hyped for her, the best response to Shaq’s cool gesture comes from Me’Arah herself.

Me’Arah O’Neal was touched by dad’s gesture

DJ Diesel took a senior night, the highlight of most student-athletes’ lives, and made Me’Arah look like the star in an inspirational sports movie montage. Me’Arah shared the Reel on her Instagram Stories with a relieved face emoji. She’s got more to accomplish before she heads to The Swamp, like winning an SPC championship. But she’s seemingly content with having her family’s support every step of the way.

Shaq, Shaunie, and Keion were a united front as Me’Arah was lauded on senior night along with her teammates. She committed to the University of Florida in November 2023 and in January 2024, made it to the McDonald’s All-American game. Episcopal High School celebrated her run as the team’s star athlete.
